  1. Confused
A031 got a reaction from SalishSea in Sportsbetting Without Work Permit/Green Card
    Hello,

Is my soon to be wife able to use sportsbooks? I matched bet (promos, both side errors. etc.) so it is always profitable and I was wondering if this would be considered "work" for her and disqualify her from further citizenship proceedings. Additionally, she does not have a credit card or bank account yet and I wonder how we go about getting those since she is a non-citizen.

    Thanks for the help!

Not quite.  Beneficiary must enter the US on or before the visa expiry date, which is 6 months (maximum) from the date of the visa medical.  Could be less than 6 months.

Once the beneficiary enters the US with K1 visa, the expiry date on the visa will be irrelevant.  Wedding must be within 90 days of US entry.

Well given that the visa is only valid for the duration of the medical exam (could be less than 6 months), I'd think of it as arrival to the US on a valid visa + 85 days - you really don't want to leave it to the 90th day to get married.

You have 6 months from the time of the medical to enter the US. Once you enter, you have 90 days to marry.

Any luck getting an interview date yet? I'm working with my brother to build a bot that will check periodically throughout the day and send a message when a date is available. I feel like there's a ton of people waiting with the same issue at the Ankara Embassy. It would be great to get everyone's feedback and updates on appointment availability.

Even if she interviews in turkey she follows the Casa embassy needed documents (plus the police report for Turkey
no mention on the list for the letters of intent to marry but all the documents on the following list need to be original

I should have added the original 2 letters would have been sent in the petition and will be at embassy with the packet

I would recommend keeping it, better safe than sorry and Turkey reviews documents according to its standards. With only my new U.S. driver's license 5/6 car rental places would not accept it as it did not show the original date I got it. You do not want to lose any evidence so I recommend photocopying it if they don't let you keep it like Dashinka said.

Yeah, we check it constantly. I remember reading you comment about it. My fiancé also is not a Turkish citizen, she is from Morocco attending school in Turkey. I've seen some people post on here about not being able to get an appointment and then a few weeks later they post that either they have it or are asking interview questions.
