  1. Hello, I filed the Affidavit of Support i-864 previously for her k-1 visa. Do I have to make an entirely new i-864 for the AOS I-485 Application? Thanks!
  2. Hello, Is my soon to be wife able to use sportsbooks? I matched bet (promos, both side errors. etc.) so it is always profitable and I was wondering if this would be considered "work" for her and disqualify her from further citizenship proceedings. Additionally, she does not have a credit card or bank account yet and I wonder how we go about getting those since she is a non-citizen. Thanks for the help!
  3. Hello, My fiance and I will be married soon. I have healthcare under my parents government plan and she does not have a plan. Are there any recommended, inexpensive plans that she could have? Thanks!
  4. Hello, I was wondering if the 90 days to get married once my fiancé enters the US also has to be within the 6 months of the medical report or visa? Basically if it is 6 months+90 days or just getting married within 6 months. There are just some things needed to be done first for anyone wondering. Thanks for the help!
  5. Hello, We will have our interview in October, 5.5 months from when we had our medical exam. The medical exam took place in Ankara, Turkey. I know the TB one would not apply since she does not have Tuberculosis and I assume it would be the no apparent defect. Also, do we have to do another medical exam before she travels to the U.S. and get her updated vaccinations again (she took them in the early spring)
  6. I've been checking but I have not been lucky yet. It's still the same message every time I check.
  7. I recommend looking at YouTube and searching "k1 visa packet" they will show you each part you need to include in your petition. Along with this, check the uscis website and a few other visa websites and include everything they ask for, and what is recommended to have overwhelming evidence. Also, when filling out the documents try to be thorough and look up any part you do not understand. As others have pointed out the CR1 may be a better option now, when I first applied 2 years ago it seemed as if K1 was slightly better with handling Covid.
  8. I would recommend keeping it, better safe than sorry and Turkey reviews documents according to its standards. With only my new U.S. driver's license 5/6 car rental places would not accept it as it did not show the original date I got it. You do not want to lose any evidence so I recommend photocopying it if they don't let you keep it like Dashinka said.
  9. Hey, I heard that the original letter of intent was needed for the K1 Visa interview since the petition would be expired by this time. My fiance lives in Turkey, am I able to send a digital copy or do I have to mail a letter of intent with my physical signature? (Still waiting to get an interview date but want to be fully prepared). Thanks!
  10. Still no update for interview slots, approaching the 2 year anniversary of applying for the k1 visa... Any advice would be appreciated. I know some people have gotten interviews, which times they usually release slots or anything else would be great to know for snagging an interview slot!
  11. Update- Over a month has gone by with no luck. I check the website in the US and she checks it in Turkey constantly. We still have not seen an appointment date appear.
  12. What does "frozen out for a time" look like specifically? It has always looked like the picture and said the same thing regardless of whether we check every 5 minutes or once in a while. We travel a few times a year to new countries when her school is on break. Does this cause an issue? I have not heard of it being a problem before. If she has no intention of finishing school is there a benefit? Because she has a decent amount of time on her residency left and she could be doing internships/training for a career instead. Yes, she got those forms. Thanks for the help!
  13. Yeah, we check it constantly. I remember reading you comment about it. My fiancé also is not a Turkish citizen, she is from Morocco attending school in Turkey. I've seen some people post on here about not being able to get an appointment and then a few weeks later they post that either they have it or are asking interview questions.
  14. Hello, We are trying to schedule an interview in Ankara, Turkey and there is no Visa dates. Has anyone had luck scheduling or happen to have any information regarding this? We have been trying for over a month to pay the visa fee, however, this message always appears, "There are no available appointments at this time. Please check back in a few days as the Consular Section will open more appointments." When I call the embassy I get a very generic "we have no information whatsoever you just have to check the website." Thanks for the help!
  15. She would still have a while after dropping out to where Turkey would care about her status.
  16. Hey everyone, My fiance lives in Turkey and has a scholarship for school. That is the only way she has residency there as she is originally from Morocco. Will it look bad for her to stop going to school there and continue the residency? She is only a year into her 4 year program and it is not something she wants to continue or that will be related to her future US job potentially. I know that visa interviews can sometimes ask about situations like this. If she was living in Turkey for the purpose of school and stopped going while living there then I'm worried it could raise red flags. She would have to do internships that would be time-consuming and pointless for hospitality jobs and they would be completely unpaid if she continues school. We met while she was still living in Morocco and she came to school about a year later in Turkey. Her attending school now creates unnecessary work, doesn't have an end goal, and takes time away from our schedules and potential other career internships she would actually be interested in. I know she could move back to Morocco but our interview will be scheduled in Turkey as the paperwork is now (still waiting on the NVC, our initial petition did get approved though) Advice is appreciated
  17. Hey, I am wondering what experiences you guys have had interviewing in Turkey. A few people have mentioned on the embassy reviews here that they required updated passport photos and letters of intent to marry (taken much more recently than the petition's) Any advice or experiences with the Turkish embassies would be appreciated! My fiancé is a Moroccan currently living in Turkey.
  18. Thanks for the help! I have a couple questions based on what you said: 1) What would be the best way to approach the religion discussion during the interview? I'm a pale white American and did a conversion from Christianity to becoming Muslim while I was visiting her and her parents in Morocco. Her mom took a video of me reciting things (although my Darija was very bad). We both are not that religious though. 2) Is she able to mail the fiche anthropomtrique & des casiers judiciaires? She is not planning on visiting Morocco soon since she is living in Turkey. It would be expensive so ideally there would be a way she could mail what she needs. Appreciate the advice!
  19. Hello, our initial petition was recently approved after over a year. My fiance is a Moroccan citizen who studies and lives in Turkey. She has been there for a year. We still have to hear from the National Visa Center. Our interview is not scheduled yet. Our main concerns would be being denied or waiting longer. Our relationship is strong, we only had visited once at the time of our application but have since went on 4 trips total together to different countries (about 3 months in person). We are the same age. The potential things they may judge on is her living in Turkey to study while being a Moroccan citizen. Maybe they would look at the cultural or traditional religious differences of America and a Muslim country. She will likely have her interview in Turkey which I heard can be hard sometimes if the person decides to be. Also, we are wondering how much time it will take since the petition was approved on Sept 30. We have waited over 460 days now. Any advice would be appreciated, I researched a ton on this but it's always good to learn more. 😁
  20. Hello, I want to know whether our visa got accepted or not. I'm an American and I have a Moroccan fiance who lives in Turkey. We are planning to travel to Italy in a week and a half. She needs a visa to travel. We used VSF and on an email she just got, and the VSF tracking website it just says this: English:Dear (her name), Your processed visa application with ref no. (her ref no). has been received from the Embassy/Consulate of Italy to the Ankara Visa Application Centre and ready for collection. Please check our passport delivery hours on our website. Thanks for all of the help, I really appreciate it!
