  1. How do you know nvc isn’t processing those cases yet? What it says on their website is incorrect/not updated regularly.
  2. I originally submitted October 24th and got a response from NVC on the 4th of December but It was a RFE so I’m submitting again on the 6th of December. thank you for creating this thread!
  3. I got married outside of Kuwait. I understand the problem now,I uploaded the marriage certificate but they want the marriage registration paper. Totally my fault,I should have checked the requirement of the marriage certificate format in the country I got married at.
  4. I thought so too I didn’t expect a response over the weekend.
  5. I was expecting RFE for my civil documents since I uploaded them without translation in Arabic..but those got accepted 😳 I don’t understand them at all.
  6. I got a response! All documents accepted just not the marriage certificate “Please replace this upload with a scan of the original language document and a certified English translation. Please use our Document Finder at https://nvc.state.gov/find for acceptable documents guidelines.“ my marriage certificate is in English though and got all the required stamps. I’ll see what I can do but I’m happy I got a response finally
  7. I’m October 24th and haven’t heard back either (even though I’m expecting a RFE)
  8. I submitted my papers on October 24th and I’m wondering if I can upload the translation? I read that I don’t need the translation but I have to bring it to the interview at the embassy. also I submitted the tax transcript but I saw lots of submitters saying they got RFE for W2s as well..should I submit those?

The visa officer did ask me this: “why you don’t have citizenship yet you been married for so long” (9 years) I said I already applied for an immigrant visa and we are working on it and she just said ok approved. hope this gives to people who want to visit while working on their immigrant visas.

  12. I asked the visa officer at the embassy to issue me a 10 years visa since I don’t like keep having to reapply but he said the maximum for my passport is a multi entry with a 2 years validity visa.
  13. According to google more than half a million people adjust status after entering USA a year! Chances are you will be fine.
  14. I travelled through Heathrow I never needed a transit visa.
  15. I’m about to get my second dose of the covid vaccine today in preparation for the medical for my immigrant visa. I also did not want to get vaccinated but I got to do what they ask me to if I want to immigrate to USA. I googled it THIS MORNING hoping they have changed the guidelines and I’m not required to be “fully vaccinated” but nothing have changed since last year. I can’t see where it shows any new info about this..can you provide a link?
  16. I say it’s a High chance the Brazilian will get the visa especially with the extended international travel history and also going to school and working in another country (Ireland) is considered a strong tie.
