Yes you can. I live in Texas and traveled within including south of the border, stopped once during the night (just normal border patrol check) I showed my passport & visa (I also have my I-94 screenshot but the state trooper didn’t look for it) and I’m good to go.

Here’s the thing: 
If I were in your shoes, and If I have to be digging to find the answer I want (which might or might not be accurate or legal), then my gut would tell me it’s better not to do it altogether. I like simplicity and peace of mind. But that’s just me.
And with regards to attorneys, this is an immigration forum where most people DIY. And literally every day I read posts where lawyers mess up big time, and the worst is, they are not accountable. Take it for what it is.

we got accepted today!! 
we received our NOA1 on September 1st 2021 and officially waited 485 days! This still feels like a dream!

Congratulations to the 8 filers that were approved in the 126500 group today!
 
We still have half the day left, so let’s hope for the best! My case file is 126762 and 126764 was approved today - I’m feeling lucky!

Honestly, it’s already painful being separated from the person I love but what makes it even harder is seeing people with NOA1 in mid-September get approved before us.

They should, but so should voters. We elected the people who create and implement these rules. When will the public ever wake up and stop voting their party line, and instead actually learn about who they're voting for? A country where people decide based on actual understanding seems like an imaginary place. Nowhere in the world do the masses come together and make logical choices. It always comes down to candidates vying for public approval at any cost and the public being gullible enough to believe their empty promises. 

What's lacking is the people who put out false promises are rewarded for it. Ie(musk). There is no accountability. If we held candidates accountable to their promises then we would definitely have a better society.

Now, we're ready for the USCIS to NVC Case creation. I saw some posts that it takes 2-3 months.

We were approved today. As a recap, we received a "Request for Initial Information" on November 7th. They had lost my passport picture. I had read here that it is a good idea to send more evidence when you get those notices, so I sent them evidence of our ongoing  relationship because it has been 15 months since we first file it. They officially received the documents on the 23rd and we got approved on December 1st. Someone here jinxed it by saying that I should only send them what they asked but they took less than the usual 2 weeks time to approve our case. For those still waiting, don't lose hope, you're almost there. We're all going to be part of the "DECEMBER 2022 K1 NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY" topic soon

No,  the country does not impact the I-129F. The I-129F is for the US sponsor, not the foreign beneficiary. Yes, Ukraine filers have been expedited. That is why those are getting done faster. The I-129F ensures that the US sponsor is actually eligible to file a K1, it doesn't really have anything to do with the beneficiary at this step.

462 days and no noa 2 and there is nothing I can do. I cant cry anyomore, prayers sometimes feel unanswered and writng letters does nothing. So hard to keep faith and hope.

Me. The feeling sucks when I saw a Sept 2021 NOA1 filer got approved, meanwhile USCIS said I can only inquire after Jan. 5, 2023.

Anyone waiting to hear back for August 2021 Noa1?
