  1. Yes, one was spousal (DCF I was living in his country) and the other fiance. No, they didn't say but I've heard with Egypt it can be months and months.
  2. He has never been married or applied before. I have sponsored twice before. Guessing this was the red flag. It was more than 10 years ago. Our relationship has been 3 years and tons of proof I uoloaded.
  3. I'm not sure why it seemed so strange to me. Asked him their. And then argued the pronunciation of their names, their ages, how we met, when we were married, where we were married, when divorced.
  4. Yes. Submitted proof from each trip. Boarding passes, luggage tags, Airbnb receipts, bus receipts, movie tickets, etc
  5. My husband received the dreaded yellow paper at the interview im Egypt today. Terrible experience. First, they argued with him about ourdate of marriage. He told them the correct date 3 times and the officer said it wasn't correct. Like, it's on the marriage certificate 🙄 Then he was saying it's not right our relationship began while I was legally separated from my ex husband (we were married a year and a half after). They only focused on my previous marriages and not much else. Then they said they need us to upload more proof. If anyone can give me an idea as to what else to upload I would appreciate it. Here is was I already uploaded: Both previous lease and current lease with both our names, about 200 photos with us and friends/family over the past 3 years, chat logs from the very beginning with us, me and his mother, sister and father and him with my mother, affidavits from my mother and his parents, proof from the 6 trips I've taken (I'm in Egypt now, was hoping he could fly back with me) proof of contacting the congressman and Whitehouse for assistance, shared bank account. We've never emailed each other because we communicate via messenger. And phone bill? We call via messenger so there are no charges. I'm just not sure what else I have to upload 🤷‍♀️
  6. Thanks! We filed our CR1 petition October 30, 2021. Followed it up by filing the K3 petition in December. K3 denied and CR1 approved on February 15th by USCIS. NVC received it mid March and approved by them mid-May.
  7. No worries! My husband had his medical today. Our interview is December 12th 😊
  8. Thank you! We have a mountain of evidence we submitted plus multiple affidavits from both sides of the family. Just hoping it's enough. Egypt is notorious for either denying or placing into indefinite AP after the interview.
  9. Thank you! I guess I've just been overthinking and so used to others judging me I assumed the CO would as well. My husband knows every single thing so hopefully all will be well.
  10. He does know about my past. Thank you. Sometimes it's more easily comprehended when coming from the direct source. Thank you for you oh so helpful advice 🙄
  11. Question. I have previously brought someone over on a DCF Spousal visa (13 years ago) and another on a fiance visa (9 years ago). Unfortunately neither worked out. My husband and I are now awaiting our interview for spousal visa. I would very much like to explain to the officer why the previous marriages did not work out (first was just 2 years, divorced before conditions were lifted on 2 years green card) and (second, fiance visa, married, together 8 years total before divorce). However, I do not believe the embassy will allow me in at the time of the interview. Should I write the explanations and upload them to the CEAC site? I just feel the officer could easily judge me, however they were legitimate reasons (adultery and abuse)
  12. Couple questions for those who have interviewed already in Cairo. I see what we need from the interview letter, however, would appreciate more advice. Out of the doctor's approved for the medical, did anyone have a particularly good/experience with any of them? Also, how far in advance did you do your medical to ensure it was ready in time for the interview? It doesn't state the family record/register is required. However, I've heard some have been asked to provide it. Can someone give me an example of what that is and where to obtain it? Interview is at 730am. What time would you suggest we arrive at the embassy? Thank you!
  13. Hello, We have our interviews scheduled for December 12th. Can anyone please confirm the documents they brought with them to the interview that they needed to get from Egypt? The ones I'm aware of are the updated police certificate, military exemption, birth certificate, medical. Also any advise for the interview at Cairo would be appreciated. Not too much information out there.
  14. I (petitioner) recently had no choice but to move and my address has changed. We were DQd prior to me moving and are still waiting for our interview to be scheduled at the Cairo embassy. Can anyone advise on how to update my new address?
  15. We are Egypt CR1 Spousal. Our PD is 10/30/21. Approved with USCIS on 2/15/22. Approved with NVC 5/12/22. Currently waiting for an interview which is taking 8-10 months. We were lucky because we were sent to the Nebraska service center which is faster. However there is a chance your case would go to another center. I would stick with the k1 since you are so far in. Hopefully you'll hear something soon.
  16. From what I've heard, Egypt is no longer processing DCF unless it's an extreme case. I have 2 friends in Egypt, living there 5+ years eho are going through the visa process and had to file for IR1 (same as CR1 just changes to IR1 after you've been married for 2 years). Same as I'm doing from here in the states.
  17. That would be awesome! You can find me on Facebook. Laura Samak
  18. Yes thank you I have. Unfortunately there has been nothing recent so I thought to post.
  19. Does anyone have any updates for interviews scheduled for Cairo? Can hardly find anyone from Egypt to put together a timeline or difficulty on being approved.
