  1. One more question for those that have had their interview. How long were you at the consulate in total? Trying to figure out return flight.
  2. They are still processing 2021 cases. I think it will be a bit of a wait yet for 2022. I'd guess at least another 4 or 5 months. All depends on how quickly they move. Seems to be that they are clearing about 3-4 months at a time.
  3. So if my appointment is at 1000, I should be able to make it back to the airport for 1500 or is that cutting it too close do you think?
  4. Anyone who has used Dr. Cheema could you please tell me how long the appointment was in total (including blood work/x-rays)? I have booked for March 31 at 10 am, but we are flying in from Calgary, so want to make sure I don't book our return flight back to Calgary too early. Thanks.
  5. Sorry you were skipped. I would try e-mailing and mailing a letter to the consulate as well.
  6. That was our initial plan as we wanted to go house shopping first. However, we have changed our plans since the wait time for the interview has been much longer than anticipated. Now we will activate the visa and move down at the same time.
  7. I'm skeptical. I wonder if this is in relation to the temporary rule on previous immigrant visa applicants?
  8. I know in Alberta it took a while before I received a notice back saying that I was excused due to my profession.
  9. You might want to check here for some more info.
  10. Our lawyer told us as soon as we have a date they will do some interview practice with us. I think it's a great idea!
  11. I would have transferred if I had the option. Our life has been in limbo for the last 18 ish months. We are nearing the end of the wait thankfully.
  12. Because COVID happened and Montreal was shut down for months. They have focused on reducing the backlog for all the other immigrant categories first. They just really started to work on clearing the EB category in the last couple months. I'd guess it could be another 7-10 months wait for you depending on how much they can clear at once. If they clear more than a few months at a time, it could be 4 months. Nobody really knows. Brazil is moving much more quickly than Montreal. I believe it is only a few months wait there. Someone from Brazil shared their dates on the google doc. The google doc is complied with whatever information people have shared or are willing to share.
  13. You can have a look at this for an idea of when you might get an interview - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14yZKxht6igwJPXPU0EehKmmN2hx1g3EchEuB5G0yNO4/edit#gid=0 Right now they are currently scheduling cases that were documentarily qualified around April 2021. Looks like you were probably documentarily qualified in Dec 2022. There will likely be a bit of a wait yet.
  14. This is what I see when I open mine. There have never been any dates.
  15. This is a silly question, but where are you finding the last update date? And where are you seeing ready?

  17. @ACC24 Maybe check with some of the IR/CR1 folks as they have likely run into this. I know for myself I had three or four different doses, not at the correct time intervals so my doc did a titer test for me to bring with me to be on the safe side.
  18. Depending where you got them done they might be available online. In Alberta, I can see mine online from the time I was born.
  19. I paid around $55. I've attached what the letter says, as long as you have this it should be fine.
  20. I went to the RCMP detachment directly. The document looks the same as when I went to a private/3rd party fingerprint company.
  21. @F2J_March Are there any private fingerprinting places nearby you? Most of them seem to be authorized to request the checks from the RCMP. We used a private place in Alberta and had ours in about a week. Friends had theirs in a couple days.
