Yes, that was part of the CFO pitch, plus they also talked about making pinays sex slaves and physically abusing them. I tried to actually enter the class and tried to play dumb, but that didn't work. I walked down the street to Shakeys Pizza and ate while my gf attended.

Around 2000 CFO was pitching the girls to make sure they remitted money back to Philippines Social Security once they started working in the USA.

But at the time St Marys was known as the easier of the two, they had PRISM on Taft which had the reputation as being the difficult one that would seek out the weak, shy, and the ones whom lacked confidence and exploit them.

My last trip to Manila area I was at the Robinson Mall near US Embassy.  I saw a sign on the 2nd level that said Texas Roadhouse coming.

Did it ever get built?  There is a TGIF on the first floor and it's pretty good place to get some American food.

I get real tired of all the pork and chicken, I need some Texas beef to give me energy in the Philippines.....

I am working on getting my longtime companion one as we speak, We have decided to use a fixer.   As of last few months getting a passport appointment is very difficult, the fixers are snatching up all the appointments times and reselling them.   Look to pay anywhere between 1000 to 3000 peso for an appt. slot.

I fully expect the Philippines and many other countries to require a covid vaccine to enter when they finally open up for tourism.

100% Agree here.  The Philippines is just a game to be played and the winners learn how to play the game.  Kiss up, promise the world and deliver nothing.

Why will that not work?  Philippines will recognize a US marriage certificate, or just about any country for that fact. It will get you visa to Philippines by being married to Philippines Citizen and satisfying the requirement of Bureau of Immigration rules.

I have been going to Mexico since June made 3 trips there, They were at 21% vaccine rate back in June.  They are fully open for tourism and never closed, no vaccine needed to enter, No quarantine, no covid test needed to enter, easy peasy.

They are very very similar to the Philippines except Mexico has much better tourist infrastructure in place and you can get a 5 star hotel for 3 star prices.

Lots of the world is open for tourism, and Asia is starting to open slowly and Philippines will join them.   Philippine has adopted the "I am afraid to open the door" and they have decided to curl up in the fetal position and lay in ball on the ground and hope covid goes away.   Soon they will have to realize they will have to deal with it and stop destroying their economy by shutting down.

I do not know how you acted with them, I know you are very mad about this and have every right to be. But you need to remember that they hold the key so you need to kiss their rear or you are doomed. Traveling to a 3rd country will most likely not work because she has a valid immigration visa in her passport. I know that this really sucks but your easiest and fastest route will be to win the hearts of the people at CFO. It's sad that you got stuck with a consular that is such an (don't want to be filtered). Just remember the culture here in the Philippines. The CFO has ALL of the power and they expect to be treated that way and you must kiss up all the way. It does not matter if you were being  "arrogant" and "inpatient" or not. They felt that you were and that is all that matters. Don't let them feel that again. Your other option is doing an online wedding through Utah. There are many posts about it on this forum. You would be able to get a visa probably within a month to go visit here and after that file for spouse visa instead. Like I said, your best bet is to get this CFO taken care of.

The requirements for travel between provinces is actually more extensive than just getting a covid test. You need to fill out a couple government forms online which includes an ID with your permanent location on the Philippines. If you are a foreigner this means it could be very hard to travel outside the province you are in without proving long stay visa or permanent residence.

This along with all your LGU approved travel location along with booked airline tickets.

Then some petty official at whatever LGU you will be sending it to has to approve it all.  All this before you even show up at the airport and get scanned a million more times.

Then when you arrive at destination sometimes they ask for another covid test if you stay longer than 5 days. (not kidding)

What is the age gap?  Even though that shouldn't be an issue my fiance was 20 when I first did CFO.  I know a guy who was 55 and his wife was 17 they got married in the Philippines with her parental consent.

That's correct but it was shortened for non vaccinated too. I could have just said that I was and roll the dice. But that could come back to bite you pretty hard. I arrived on the 9th at 5pm. I take test on 15th. If negative I will be free in the morning of the 16th. I was expecting 10 days so this is much better.

I arrived in Manila yesterday. I flew PAL. They "require" you to wear a mask and face shield and the poor flight attendants look like they are dressed to enter a bio-hazard situation. If you do not have a face shield they will provide one. My mask was off (below my chin ) and shield was above my head or off for most of the flight. Same with most of the passengers in the premium economy section. I have no idea what it was like in economy section but I would assume about the same. After we landed and were at the gate, someone from the coast guard came onboard and read us all of the rules. After that a PAL attendant gave us all of the rules fir a second time. You are not allowed to stand up until they have finished and instructed you that you can stand. I was the first passenger to get off the plane so I am not sure if the process was longer due to waiting once it got crowded, but this is my experience. You have to stop at a total of 3 desks ( actually 3 sections each has multiple desks with people to assist you) and all of them have to scan your QR code from the One Health website where you enter your your information before you fly. Each desk asks a few questions and then they send you along. They are just some health questions, showing proof of quarantine hotel booking and transportation. All 3 desks took around 5 minutes. Next off to customs. That was less than a minute. Off to baggage claim. My bags were priority so they were already pulled from carousel and waiting. I grabbed a cart and loaded  my bags then off to the exit. Another coast guard person took a quick look at my papers and let me pass. I walked outside and there is my driver holding a sign with my name and hotel on it. I think he also scanned my qr code and then off to Hotel. Hotel scanned my qr code and sent me to my room. The door is cracked open so you can walk in. You are not given a room key so you can't leave. On the plane when they tell you the rules they warn you that if you break any rules you will have to start quarantine all over. There was information waiting for me to read when I entered the room. A little later the hotel front desk called me to go over the rules and information such as meals. We were told that it will be 7 days in hotel with arrival date being the first day and then receive PCR test. 8th day get results and certificate which allows you to go to LCU for the remainder of quarantine under whatever rules they impose. Most are not that strict from what I am told.
