I can't say which is faster. But I did home delivery and it was fast. Interviewed midday Thursday, had the passport Tuesday morning.

14 June - 20 June [4]

These are mostly from a few months back and idk how accurate they are. But that's what I found.

The London folks have been very quiet. I haven't seen any recent news from anyone.

Laud reacted to NikoTaino in Photocopies for visa interview
Proof of domicile required to have the address where your spouse lives. Thus, a passport doesn’t work. Are you able to bring the driver license or state id?
-
Laud reacted to Wuozopo in Photocopies for visa interview
Presumably you uploaded the marriage certificate to the NVC. That takes care of the “photocopy” for the file because they already have a digital copy for the file. No paper copy needed in London. The entire IR1/CR1 file (excluding DCF cases) is now digital and you won’t get a big white ‘Do Not Open’’ envelope of papers with your passport/visa delivery like years ago.
The original is brought to the interview so they can verify it in person compared to what you uploaded. They want originals of your other civil documents as well (birth certificate, police certificate, divorce decree if applicable) to verify with things you scanned and uploaded. They hand originals back to you before you leave.
I’ve never heard of petitioners living in the US needing to show domicile at London interviews. That usually applies to DCF filers when the American spouse lives in the UK.

Laud reacted to Wuozopo in Medical/records question
My thought alway is, if it’s not recorded then it didn’t happen 😉
It’s pretty much up to you whether you want to discuss it and possibly defend it, isn’t it?

The NHS patient care summary is really all the clinic wants as far as your health records. If your NHS record contains all your immunisations, then that is sufficient. (Were you a baby in Geneva getting immunisations not on your current record?)
Did you fill out the medical questionnaire to take with you? Have you had any of the conditions on the questionnaire to report? High blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, depression, heart disease, surgeries? Those need a short write-up from your GP briefly telling the details. I think I gave you examples of that before.
Tips: Be well hydrated. It helps your blood pressure reading. If you have ever tried any illegal drugs even once and admit it when the doc chats with you, you will have to have a urine test to check for any drugs currently in your system

Laud got a reaction from Pat2021 in I864 Signature
We were DQed first try. Hard to know if the aidditional document made a difference, everything just said "ACCEPTED" with no detail.
But I guess it's better to play it safe and upload the second one?

Laud reacted to trudi in Courier Service - UK embassy
The courier lost my visa packet and I'd booked my flight based on the email with the delivery date, only took 24hrs to find it but I think that was the longest 24hrs of my life!
Wait until you have your passport with the visa in your hands and then book the flight
-
Laud reacted to Wuozopo in Courier Service - UK embassy
Book your flight after you get the visa in hand. Strange things happen, even if you are told you were approved. It’s not over until the passport is put in your hand.
Quirky and normal things that have happened in London—
The servers were hacked and all visa issuance was immediately halted for many weeks.
The visa printer broke and took several days to repair
The truck broke down and didn’t bring your visa as stated in the email
You (or your parents) were born in another country so your security clearance delayed things.
You took the wrong birth certificate, a damaged passport, a police certificate that said “no live trace”, etc and had to get replacement.
For no obvious reason it took 3 weeks to issue the visa, or even seven months, and was never revealed why.

Hi!
I had my interview in London in March 2019.
It took about 5 days to get notice that my passport was ready.
I actually went to pick my passport up, somewhere in the city, I can’t remember the address, but I walked from City Thames link rail station.
I flew out in April 2019, as I was finishing up at work.
I hope this helps!

Hi all!
We have at long last received an appointment date for my husband!! 🥵 For those of you who are new to the thread, we were DQ’d on June 21st and seeing from this thread I expected to receive an appointment date for around July 1st… well, today we have received the email with a London appointment for September 21st! It is bittersweet because I feel fortunate that the whole process lasted just under a year for us, but it is sad that he will miss the first day of class for our soon to be first grader! Good luck to you all 🍀!!

I know man! As luck would have it our I130 took over 12 months to process, if it was a processed in the average time we'd have been DQed a long time ago when they were still scheduling interviews. Absolutely rotten luck for us at every stage of the process.
