OMG. After reading most of this thread I just had to watch the video of the police clearly killing an innocent man.
Unfortunately, all I saw was a known criminal and liar refusing to obey orders and had to be restrained.
Looked like a normal takedown.
Not sure about the paramedics and what they are required to do. It is unfortunates that he died ,but Garner made a choice to resist arrest. It is not the officers fault he had an existing medical condition.

Funny when I was arrested they asked me pretty please to be nice. I even told them I refused to be arrested unless I could put the cuffs on myself and drive the police car to jail. They said since I was white, it was cool. No problem.

According to medical examiner spokeswoman Julie Bolcer, Garner was killed by “…the compression of his chest and prone positioning during physical restraint by police… Asthma, heart disease and obesity were contributing factors…”
The medical examiner, while ruling the death a homicide, said there was no damage to neck or windpipe and so therefore it isn’t a chokehold.
