i guess they proceed your application with expedited service.

Referring to the previous discussion in this thread, expedited service is speeding up process between when you're applying for your passport and when it gets status "in process". The actual time between "in process" and "approved" would be the same for both regular and expedited applications. So you can see that it took 2 weeks to get that "in process" status for me, when for applications with " expedited" servise it takes a couple of days now. I think I just got lucky with the processing location. They probably just reopened it cuz I couldn't find anyone with locators staring with 75.

Have you gotten a new design passport or the old one?

Old one. The new generation (plastic page) has black and white photo, old one (paper) has color photo. So I'm totally cool with the old style. Plus the new gen is almost useless compare to the new gen passports in other countries (e.g. Russia) where it actually has a chip inside with your fingerprint so in some cases you can't use it if it won't match with your finger. The new gen US passport doesn't have that, as far as I know.

Routine service, applied for both book and card:

    USPS Las Vegas Summerlin: 7/29/21

    Status "In process": 8/12/21

    Locator begins: 75

Not sure when it was approved.... Update: was approved on 8/24/21

WOW! Checked my status today and:

Shipped your passport and card: 08/26/2021

8/30/21 I received my passport book (52 pages).

I'd say it was exactly 1 month since I applied at the USPS.

Passport was shipped from Little Rock, Arkansas.

Today 9/01/21 received my passport card. Looks cool lol)

Did you get a tracking number for passport card?

I believe you only get a tracking number for the passport book, so it looks like that even the express shipping only applies to the book, not the card and your certificate (unless you ordered only the card).

If not, were you able to see it via informed delivery?

I had exactly the same question last night and today in the informed delivery morning email it stated that I should get a letter (regular letter) from "US Government Official Mail" - St. Albans, VT - I assume it is the passport card. I could not see earlier that it's coming soon but today I can see that it's out for delivery.

Again, it’s routine (regular) service and regular shipping.

Ohhhh I didn't know. My husband did not include this in his application

I brought both original and copy of my name change doc. The person who was taking and verifying my application said that they (passport department) won’t need it. And he was thorough... He rejected my dL as id since it still has my old name and used naturalization certificate as Id.

I don't know the answer to your question, but could you please share with us your interview experience? I'm from Vegas too and would like to know how it's done here.

It's pretty easy if you start getting ready for the test in advance (1 month is usually enough). It really depends on the officer how fast your case is getting processed after interview. Can be 10 minutes, can be 6 months....

Officer asked me 10 questions, I answered all 10 correctly (yes 10, not 6). Then he told me that I can use my Certificate of Citizenship only after 2 weeks when I get it after oath ceremony (yeah, I've never heard of it either), then he asked me YES / NO questions, confirmed info about me and....he printed an RFE for me instead of N-625 form by mistake.... Then he tried to fix it but couldn't, then he started filling up whatever he needed again and printed N-652 form... I'm pretty sure he did something else wrong and my case is lost now lol)))))))

For those who are done and passed the interview, did the officer ask you certain definitions of the words from the n400 application form? I did not receive a booklet, some people who shared their experiences in youtube (recent ones that got affected with Covid) say that some were asked about the vocabulary list,  I heard that sometimes they ask vocabulary  words from the application...not that I am worrying about it, I was just wondering... Also because, I didn't receive a booklet, only a notice of action that my application was received...

Thanks in advance for the input!

Will have my interview later this month, but I can say yes, you need to know section 12 vocabulary. And as far as I know, they almost always ask them. So be prepared.
