It’s time to file a complaint with the USCIS Ombudsman and also write your State representatives. This is absurd and you deserve an answer !

Congratulations to everyone! I am a Nov. 4th 2020 filer with a 2/3/21 NOA1 (90 days later) …. My fiancé and I have given up the wait and I have made arrangements to spend a couple days a week in Portugal and open a business (if this continues this way I might move out to my own country!) - in America 2021 it’s easy to open a business overseas than her a simple visa approved!

There is no criteria when it comes to these government agencies ….. I am fed up myself to the point I am temporarily relocating to Portugal to be with my fiancé because evidently the left hand is not talking to the right hand at USCIS. It’s a shame it is so expensive to sue them and very unlikely I would win …. Whenever it comes (they are doing us a glad or apparently) we will Have to thank them and no apologies

This shows us how deficient the system is and that perhaps they are playing with numbers. By flying by newer cases they are reducing their processing times range, so maybe this is for the show - if a private company considered playing with numbers it would be a huge scandal but for USCIS this is probably totally normal.

The thought they have asked 1.2 M dollars in Congress to solve the backlog .... they should just get to work.... these background checks are also questionable because at the end of the day both your fiancé and you still have to get the police certificates from everywhere you lived since you were 16 y/o and send it to NVC..... they are slow and the country (including CA) is open for business so they should work processing cases now without excuses because very soon we will have another holiday a d they will also say that because of it they are behind.... I find a disregard to us, citizens, these delays and the hardship we have to go through to be with the person we love and want to marry. If I keep traveling overseas I will end up paying taxes abroad too ......

I am a November 4th applicant and my case has not moved at all. It’s so bad they are making exceptions for applications from October 1st forward because they screwed up in Texas.

UsCIS loves to say they are funded by the fees but then we have this “side requests” regardless it’s sad to see a government agency not working for the people as they should - and this is my opinion .... in the private sector if I didn’t do my job it’s pretty clear I won’t have a job .... the mess is so big that no money could fix it in my opinion .... so big they are actually creating exceptions for those applications that were grossly mishandled causing people to overstay their visas, etc. where is the accountability ? I leaving the country (again) to be with my fiancé because for some reason things are slow here .... not their fault ? Well not my fault either but they are the ones tasked with solving my problem .

My level of frustration with USCIS is at max ! There is always an excuse for their inefficiency (COVId-19, policy, and of course now a Holiday excuse ....)  I am a November 4th applicant that has spent more than 200 days away from the United States to be with my fiancé.... how is it possible that we (taxpayers) are subject to this and have to act like they are doing is a favor? Ugh . I see people already jumping ship with dealing their applications and getting married because of the delays .... the country is open, propel are vaccinated and Federal Employees must go back to work .....

Agree let’s keep positive but vigilant and active, once you reach the 8th month window, the very next day, anyone of us with a delay should file a complaint with the USCIS Ombudsman, These requests create (negative) statistics that are shared up the ladder. I filed a complaint when I did not receive my NOA1 after 60’days waiting and someone called me from Washington DC and within 2 weeks I received our NOA1 in the mail!

Agree, however we can’t forget that at around October 24th 2020 the Dallas Lockbox had a problem that caused many of us not to know if our applications have been received or not until January / February of this year! I am
a November 4th receipt date that did not get my NOA1 until 2/3/21 and my WAC number is in the 27500 range. I am glad to see progress for you guys ....

They are still processing September - at a very slow pace I should say. The September group already reported people passing the 7th month mark without a NOA2. Visit the September 2020 chat and you will see where it is going....
