  1. Oh great! Thank you. Now off to plan our honey moon we’ve been waiting to do for 2 years. Have a good weekend
  2. Thanks guys. Last question: her CR1-Visa expires in January 10th. So if we fly in on October I understand that the Green card can take up to 6 motnhs to arrive. It’s likely that her CR1 Visa will expire while we are still waiting for it to arrive. Would she be overstaying her welcome in this scenario? Trying to be careful, as she had an overstay issue many years ago on her visa waiver program.
  3. Hey guys! My wife just got her CR-1 Visa sticker this week and it expires in January. We were planning on going back to USA in October. Only downside is that we might still be waiting in January for her green card, and her CR-1 Visa sticker visa would've expired by then. Are there any repercussions?
  4. What happens if you don't receive your green card and the CR-1 Visa sticker expires? Ours expires 6 months from now
  5. Also curious if we should fly to the US ASAP... ? We were planning on leaving in October
  6. Hey all! I'm a USC with a German wife who got her CR-1 Visa Sticker at the Frankfurt Consulate. We have been living in Germany. Before we go to USA, we wanted to have a little honeymoon month to Korea, Japan, and Italy because we missed out on our honeymoon trip due to Covid. Does my wife have to go directly to USA, or is she permitted to fly to other countries after getting the CR-1 Visa sticker?
  7. you should be fine! We even had overstay and still got the visa
  8. Getting approved was sort of a miracle. With my wife’s overstay and denied asylum case from many years ago, it was so messy that attorneys wouldn’t touch it. I was already studying waivers for months and were prepared for a denial. To our surprise, the exact opposite happened and she was approved. They sympathized with her and her hardships. It was amazing. Pretty much everyone here expected us to get denied too. She came out of the office and I was the last one standing outside after many hours, she gave me a thumbs up with tears and I realized we got approved. Life is bittersweet
  9. Yep! We’re glad too. Also allowed us to visit Paris and have a very romantic weekend
  10. July 6! We were there at 6 am and left by 4 pm. She was the last one interviewed.
  11. Thanks, and yeah It is very hard to get an interview! Earliest here in Germany was October. but we went to France to get medical done a week before. They appreciated it, was prerty expensive and they approved it. I think it’s case by case, I can’t recommend it 100% because Washington has to approve it Thanks we’re excited!!
  12. Hi everyone! My wife had a CR-1 Interview at the consulate last week. It went beyond amazing. They were very kind to her, had some good laughs, and approved the visa and said it would take 1-2 weeks to receive it and they kept her German passport. However, she got an email today saying her US Visa shipping label has been printed today and will be delivered tomorrow. But, the CEAC portal still says "Administrative Processing". Is this normal?
  13. Yeah sounds about right, mines is family based so I had to upload online.
  14. The documents you would have had to upload was likely financial docs, at-least for me. It's best to double check and clarify with your attorney. They should be able to respond to an email of this nature without a charge. Following advice here might turn out to be a regrettable decision. So best speak with a professional.
  15. Hey, yes we have tried all of the cities in Germany and sadly all are booked out till august. You are right about UK, we managed to land another appointment in France and canceled the UK one. Now I will email the consulate and hopefully they approve. They were unable to answer the question on phone
  16. Hey that’s interesting. I’ve actually been in the Germany over the past year and half with her. Is the medical examination required from the petitioner as well? It’s only required from the applicant from my understanding
  17. i thought it can be from outside of country as long as its from the officially listed place
  18. Appreciate you two, thank you! We decided not to reschedule and upon further googling, My wife and I managed to make an appointment in London for next week. It’s a bit far and expensive travel, but worth doing instead of getting delayed. If anyone is in Germany looking for medical apt, UK is faster. Good luck to everyone
  19. Hi everyone, Our CR-1 interview is in mid July however the earliest medical examination appointment we were able to get in Frankfurt is for September 15th. I am worried we will have to cancel/delay our interview and we have waited over a year and half. Can anyone please give guidance on this, or any other possible solutions?
