  2. i believe right below your real name i am in the process now, could take up to 8 weeks, once i get mines i'll let everyone here know how it appears
  3. For the US passport they actually add your “also known as” right next to your real name which is really helpful for me
  4. I was 9 months old when I got my first US passport! edit: Oh okay I see, I’ve been to them before
  5. I have actually been wanting to do this for many years, I just didn’t know it was possible. I have an online Alias that became my identity in my line of work. My entire livelihood has been made with this name. I also use it in contracts. All my client testimonies as well mention this name. I have been using it for 5+ years Now. I recently discovered it and realized it’s the perfect opportunity. Apparently many artists and entertainers do the same
  6. Mike, you’re the man!! Always have been incredibly helpful over the years. Thank you. Never been to a passport agent before, will find one locally and get to it!
  7. Yes I qualify for it, I have a stage name I do business with for 5+ years now. I have an online alias which has followed me in my line of work. testimonies, contracts, you name it.
  8. Hi VJ community! I am a US citizen of 26 years now. My wife recently immigrated here thanks to the community's help! Today I need help for me, and I scoured the internet before making this thread. I recently learned that you could add a "AKA name" onto your Passport. After some googling, I found instructions on various Consulate websites like UK, Ireland.. But nothing in USA. Anyone know how to go about doing this? I tried calling DHS, Travel Gov, no one picks up! I have a stage name with online presence that I would like to add to my US Passport. Cheers! Link I found: https://uk.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/u-s-passports/change-name-on-u-s-passport/
  9. We are planning a trip to NYC 🥰 then Miami and then back to Europe for a week!!!! woo Hoo
  10. UPDATE: it’s arriving tomorrow! Just got the tracking info via email. I can’t believe we went from 2 years to about 2-3 weeks. All thanks to the community here 😊 no attorney fees on the planet could achieve this!!!!!!
  11. Yes! It’s incredible. It also helped that my wife has a decent following on social media, after the congressman learned of that he personally called uscis and he personally called my wife to let her know that she should be receiving the card shortly Feels good 😊
  12. Update: our congressman called uscis after they denied our i-90 expedite, yelled at them, and now the card is being produced. We should be receiving it within the next 30 days.
  13. fair enough 😂 I actually got confused because the uscis officer on the phone told me *not* to submit online and *only* by mail, so there was a contradiction, and considering how important this form is I wanted to make sure we’re making the right decision. If any updates on our case we will let you guys know. We have already contacted and are in communication with our congressman, so that’s good
  14. We’ve never filed an i-90 before. My wife entered usa on December and she received a CR1 instead of an IR1, so we’re going to correct that mistake by the officer with an i-90 submission, which will be done by her. This form can not be submitted by the petitioner, which is why it didn’t let me file it online with my USCIS account, but it does allow her to file i-90 online with a new uscis account she made yesterday.
  15. @Lemonslice why do you find all of my posts so confusing? 😂
  16. Can i file the i-90 online? On USCIS.gov it says I can, and ive seen some threads where people said you *could* file online and they will request the old card by mail when they need to. But i chatted with a live agent and she said to mail it in only. I'm getting different answers so curious if anyone else here has filed online when they received an incorrect card (Cr1 instead of ir1)
  17. Got it! I don’t think there will be an interview since it’s about simply fixing a DHS error on her green card. But would greatly appreciate any attorney recommendations for the I-90. we are definitely ready to hire an attorney
  18. Hi all, my wife is filling out an i-90 as she received the incorrect green card (CR-1 when she should have received IR-1 due to entering USA after the 2nd anniversary). I have 3 questions about the form: Question 1: Part 3, item 4: "Have you ever been in exclusion, deportation, o removal proceedings or ordered removed from the United States? This question is icky as she has to bring up a rocky past: - 10 years ago, she was denied entry in USA when she was 18 years old, then had her asylum case denied and put into removal proceedings. - We don’t want to open up this can of worms since it was acknowledged and forgiven by the US Consulate interviewing officer who told her that the 3 year ban was over. What would you guys suggest on how to approach this explanation? Question 2: In Part 1, Item 14, Class of Admission - do we put CR1 or IR1? She was incorrectly given a CR1 when she was supposed to get an IR1. Question 3: My wife changed her first name after we got married (made her middle name her first). She a name change certificate thats also in English from the German Government. Would a photocopy or apostilled copy be ok or do we have to send in the original certified document? Really appreciate the community's help thank you.
  19. Just got an email response from uscis from the typography error form: We cannot process changes requested by the beneficiary or a third party i guess only petitioners can submit this form and not beneficiaries. Anyways, just got certified copies of certain docs so on to submit the I-90 hopefully today or tomorrow
  20. My wife changed her first name and last name 1 month after marriage. She made her middle name her first name. I need to submit i-90 to correct her resident card to IR-1. They're also asking for a certified copy of the marriage. Problem: Should I provide the certified copy and the legal name change document OR should I simply update her marriage certificate to reflect her new name and provide that instead?
