The day before the shooting, a teacher at the high school observed the teen searching for ammunition on his cell phone during class and she reported it to school officials, McDonald said. Jennifer Crumbley was contacted through voicemail and email about her son's web search. Later, McDonald said, the mother texted her son: "LOL, I'm not mad at you, you have to learn not to get caught.”

Does it get worse? Of course, it does.

The next day, the day of the shooting, the teen's teacher saw an alarming note on his desk, McDonald said. The note contained a drawing of a semiautomatic handgun pointing at the words: "The thoughts won't stop, help me." She said it also contained a drawing of a bullet with the words "blood everywhere" and a drawing of a person who appeared to be shot and bleeding… "Both James and Jennifer Crumbley failed to ask their son if he had his gun with him or where his gun was located and failed to inspect his backpack for the presence of the gun, which he had with him," McDonald said. She said the parents resisted taking their son out of school and left without him."He was returned to the classroom," McDonald said.

    Whereupon he killed four people

  2. Michigan school shooting: Reward offered to find suspect's parents

US Marshals are offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the parents of a teenager suspected of a deadly school shooting.

James and Jennifer Crumbley are accused of ignoring warning signs before the rampage that left four students dead.

They have been charged with involuntary manslaughter, but failed to show for their arraignment on Friday.

Ethan Crumbley, 15, is accused of using his father's gun to shoot classmates in Michigan. He has pleaded not guilty

PONTIAC, Mich. — The parents of a 15-year-old boy accused of fatally shooting four classmates at a Michigan high school were criminally charged Friday, an extraordinarily rare move to hold parents accountable when a minor uses their weapon in a school shooting.

In announcing the charges, Oakland County prosecutor Karen McDonald shared chilling new details about the behavior of James and Jennifer Crumbley, parents of Oxford High School shooting suspect Ethan Crumbley, in the days leading up to the rampage.

As of Friday night, multiple law enforcement authorities, including the U.S. Marshals Service, said they are looking for the Crumbleys. Attorneys said in a statement that the couple had left town the night of the shooting “for their own safety” and would return to be arraigned.

as you have wandered all over the place with bringing vj  and trump into the mix, i have no idea what point you are attempting to make.

The subject is hate crimes against Asian Americans.

In this forum there are multiple references to terms meant to paint  Asians as the cause of covid (also used by Trump). Use of that language helps create a culture where harassment and bullying is more likely.

I am not saying the kids who assailed this young lady listen to Trump or read VJ. I am saying the language is derogatory and shouldn't be used.

I don't listen to enough hiphop lyrics to say whether some inspire hatred against  Asians or not.

based on your answer, it appears your position is that trump said something and it being posted in

vj led to this story - which is why you're mum about rap.

I think I clarified that point about adults spewing garbage like "Kung Flu" and "China Virus" contributes to the feeling by young people that acts of hate against Asians is OK. Trump was a ringleader in the use of that language. I don’t remember exactly where those terms were used here,  but I reported at least one to the mods.

I don't follow you on RAP in this context. Every knows misogyny and racially charged language is present in a lot of hiphop music, a lot of peace and love is in the music as well.   So I don't know what you want me to speak out against.

Nope,  can't blame President Trump on this.  No excuses, they need to be punished and we need to start treating all that act like this in the same way equally.

I am blaming every adult, especially the former president  who have leveraged the origin of the virus to model racist behavior and language.

A direct link between a statement by the former president and this assault may or may not exist, but young people don't learn bad behavior in a vacuum, it was taught to them by an adult.

The race of the alleged assailants is conspicuously absent from the story.

The important point is not the race of the assailant, it is that our children are learning that racism is normal and even expected. Terms like "Kung Flu" and "China Virus" are a gateway to hate, and sadly are terms that get used in this forum and by the former president.   Children are watching and will reflect the bigotry adults around them model.

Hey all! Hope you're all doing well!

I am twenty three years old and happily married to my wife who,as you may have guessed by me joining this forum is a US citizen,  however am Canadian

I would love by all means to be able to love with her in the United States however my medical history concerns me , I as a teen had been in and out of voluntary psych wards at my local hospital due to self harm and a suicide attempt,  I've been four years clean now from any of that behavior   I am not medicated nor do I see a psychiatrist, never needed follow ups o just sort of took life by the horns and made the changes necessary to get out of that loop.

Here I had thought that I left that past buried behind me now come to find out it has a possibility of keeping me from living in the ISA with my wife? I am not sure how I would explain my situation nor if my family doctor would be able to write a note in support as I haven't ever had regular visits with her (  year or so gaps at a time) .

I'm not sure where to go with this ,I'm quite nervous to be honest. I won't lie at all during the medical obviously as that would be an even worse decision I just need advice on what to do.

To my knowledge I've never been formally diagnosed with anything.  And was only ever in the past a risk to myself never others in any way shape or form.

    Any advice is extremely appreciated.

Hope you all and your families are well.

Here is some information on what to expect from an examination from a panel physician re: mental health:

I don't know what questions will be asked, but answer truthfully and only provide the information you are asked for and you should be fine.

    Take good care of yourself.

I appreciate you taking the time to re-post.  Not sure how this will help our lawsuit, I'm just the messenger passing it along.  I really hope you actually got the Comirnaty one.  Might be beneficial in the future.  To date, it is still not available where I live.

Where do you live? I am going to find a source so you can get the approved vaccine.

I seriously doubt California or Colorado will be banning abortions.

I did wonder what would happen with the 60/40? balance in favour of Women attending Universities. Seems a good time to be a bloke at University.

The Male Doctor marrying the Female Nurse is a bit if a trope, not sure I can see it happening the other way around. A lot of leftover women?

I think the 1950s trope of going to university to find a spouse is no longer a thing. The bright young women I know going to college are there to become smarter, wiser and navigate a new world.

As far as California and Colorado go, why should a young person in Idaho or Mississippi have different rights?
