Hi so under ina319b, it is possible to receive the green card, leave immediately to abroad without any physical presence requirements, and apply for naturalization abroad? My husband is employed broad with a religious organization and I just received my green card. We are both back in the States but hope to leave to abroad soon.

From your case, it seems like they accepted your wife's application even without being in the States for uninterrupted year? Thanks!

You can do that but you have to keep being a lpr till oath. Therefore, if it takes longer than 6 months. You need to go back USA and wait there. LPR can't live more than 6 months per year away of US.

When it is not military takes more than a year applying for 319b

Per INA 319 (b), spouses of US citizens regulary stationed abroad under qualifying employment are exempt from continuous residence and physical presence requirements. Please note emphasis on qualifying employment.

My $8 Walmart coffee maker is clearly labeled that it requires 120 60 Hz so it does NOT work on 240V 50 Hz. My $8 Walmart coffee maker would also not work with the step down transformer suggested by the OP since the coffee maker is labeled that it requires 700W and the Amazon ad says that step down transformer is only rated for 250W.  An example of something that might be best to leave in the US and buy new in the Philippines if needed.

OP posted a converter, not a transformer.

Unless there is a Keurig that runs off USB power, the product description clearly rules out coffee machines. It will not successfully convert the voltage of high amperage current.

No one actually needs this product. Every laptop computer I’ve bought in the U.S. for the last 30 years works on 240V power.

When my wife asked what she should do with her Burmese hair dryer, curling iron, and rice cooker while packing for her K-1 visa journey, I pointed to the trash can.

Lol! We shipped some of our appliances from the PH to the US (it was paid for by our former employer as a repatriation benefit so why not?). We bought a step-up transformer (not a converter as the OP posted) so we can use them here.

I didn't say the OP needs the product. I said he may need a step-down transformer. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hey all, starting to get a bit worried here. I sent my I-751 packet to the AZ address back on March 25th. My GC expires April 28th and I still don’t have a receipt notice.

What are my best steps here? Send a copy of the packet again, wait it out? I’m really worried somethings happened and they haven’t got my packet. Foolishly I never sent it with tracking.

    help!

    Did the payment go thru?

  6. The charge on my card was from ELGIN LOCKBOX. I called my bank 2 days after submitting my application to tell them I'm expecting a charge from the USCIS for $850 and I just wanted to make sure it won't get declined. I was told as long as I have enough credit, there shouldn't be a problem. I got this text when they charged my card. The charge was $850 for me and my 2 kids.

"Your PNC card XXXX was used for an online or phone purchase at ELGIN LOCKBOX in CAMP SPRINGS USA for 850.00 USD."

Did it tell you what date your NOA was sent out (the Notice date on the form)?

I got my text the same day as you and still haven't gotten it so just i'm just curious! That being said, I'm sure mine will show in the next few days.

The notice date is 4/7/2023 but the envelope was stamped 4/10. I'm anxiously waiting on the extension letter. I thought I was getting it today because I heard of others getting daily mails lol

Couldn't mail my packet on Mar 7 as planned but was able to mail it on Mar 30 and was received by the Elgin Lockbox on the 31st. I guess that still makes me a March filer. Here's my timeline so far:

Mar 30 (Thu) - overnighted via Fedex

Mar 31 (Fri) - delivered per Fedex tracking

April 4 (Tue) - got a text from my bank at 23:44 that my cc was charged

April 5 (Wed) - got a text from 87247 at 13:25 that USCIS received my packet on Mar 31 with receipt number starting with IOE.

April 12 (Wed) - got NOA in the mail

The NOA was from National Benefits Center. No changes in the case status yet.

  9. Send a message to USCIS using your account with all the details you provided here. Maybe they can resend the letter. Unfortunately, USPS "lost" a letter from IRS for my daughter. I don't understand how they lose mail when they had the chance to scan them for the informed delivery service. I checked the "I did not receive this mail" box on my USPS account but never heard from them and the letter was never delivered. It's been 2 months.

    Two more travel experiences

Flew Virgin Airlines from Orlando to London Heathrow and then back to Orlando from London at the end of January. No problems whatsoever. Never even asked to see the extension letter upon return to the USA.

Flew from Orlando to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and then back to Orlando at the beginning of March. Again, no problems. This time I was asked for my extension letter upon arrival back to Orlando, but they took one look at it and we were good to go.

In all, have been back and forth to Canada about 5 times, gone on a cruise to the Bahamas, a trip to London, and a trip to the Domician Republic on my extension letter and it has gone very smoothly each time. The biggest holdup was the cruise to the Bahamas because the Royal Caribbean employee needed a manager to sign off on it on their computer.
