The NVC recieved our case on March 20th and just a few minutes ago we got an update that the case is now in transit!

Our case was sent to the embassy today!!!

NVC sends petitions to the embassy every two weeks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I noticed a 2024 shipping calendar being shared so I have included it below. 
 
You can use that calendar to track when the next shipment date will be. 

I-129F (Sent to USCIS):                    11.30.2023
I-129F (Received by USCIS):            12.05.2023
I-129F Noticed (NOA1):                     12.07.2023
I-129F REF:                                        04.22.2024

I sent in my public inquiry yesterday and I got the response this morning with our case number! I waited about 2 and a half weeks. Thank you @JojoandTomas ! 😊

We received our NOA2 today, only 172 days after filing ☺️ 
 
Any idea if there is an estimate of the NVC's current processing time (from the moment when they create the case until the moment when they transfer the file to the national embassy)? I looked around various websites and they state various waiting times ranging from a few weeks to 7 months... 😵‍💫

What you listed aren’t the same things as a tax return. 
 
He needs to provide a copy of his most recent tax returns. The IRS transcript is super quick to print out online. 

No it isn’t accurate. It’s an estimate as stated. It may take less or more. Just baseline for you to follow so you have a rough idea of what to expect. It isn’t exact

Hello, my fiancé is from the DR as well. The passport has been taking long for everyone so it isn’t just a one off thing. The official estimate is 2 weeks but it can be anywhere from 2-5 weeks. Calling won’t do much cause it’s just about them issuing the visa at this point but it’s good to maintain contact at least 1 or 2 times a week  just to see if there are any updates. Only thing you can do is check your car daily and see if it updates to Issued
