    Hi

How did you interview go - could you let us know what questions they asked, did you think it was straightforward?

It was a 20 min interview. Lady just asked stuff from the I-485 form. Confirm names, DOB, place of birth, current employer and current address. Finished with yes and no questions like the last part of the I-485 form ex. overstayed visa, criminal record, etc

How do you get the letter of ineligibilty from Ssn office

Hey! Well, I had one from 2018 when I was a Student on an M-1 visa and just used the same one. I tried to get a new one before the appointment at the MVA, I called the nearest SSA Office and they just asked me to mail some stuff like copy of passport, I-94. Proof of residency, NOA1 AOS. But I didn't do it cause it was going to take weeks, so I used the old one and it worked just fine. (You have to apply before your I-94 expires though and mine was very tight) Good luck!

  11. Hello guys, im a little new to all this about K1 visa, im the beneficiary. We filed for a K1 visa on march 2020. About  3 weeks ago i went to mexico to meet with my fiance and spent time with her and now we are in the states, I entered on a tourist visa (its been 2 weeks) its not my first time visiting her on a tourist visa after we filed. The situation is the following: she was wondering if we are allowed to get married and then do the Adjustment of status? I now its possible and i know as well that USCIS may think its visa fraud. My intentions when i came to the states was just to visit her and we did spend time with her family and friends. I cant go back to my home country for another 3-4 weeks cause its closed due to COVID. And she would like to see if there is a way for me to stay and withdraw the K1 (last update was case received). We were reading yesterday about the visa fraud and we are sacred of doing something wrong. Any advise will be appreciated!!

Hi, today I received the Request for Evidence. It's two pages long.

Page 1 has basic information about what an RFE is, and when the due date for response is.

Page 2 has a header which says "SUBMIT PASSPORT-STYLE PHOTO." Underneath, it says, "With the filing of the instant petition, you provided a photo of you; however, it does not meet the passport-style photo requirement. Therefore, submit (1) one passport-style photo of [PETITIONER NAME]."

    • Using a pencil or felt pen, lightly print the name on the back of the photo.
    • Do not staple through any part of the photo.
    • Enclose the photo in a glassine or paper envelope.
    • Staple the envelope to this notice when returning it to this office.

"PLEASE RETURN THE REQUESTED INFORMATION AND ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS WITH THIS ORIGINAL REQUEST ON TOP TO: [USCIS address]."

    ---

I will say that I did include a picture of myself, but maybe I forgot to put my name on the back. Or maybe it wasn't 2x2 and didn't exactly meet the photo requirements. This time, I went to the store and had them take a picture of me and cut it to be 2x2 (passport photo at Walgreens).

@Greenbaum Inside the envelope I received in the mail, it had an empty envelope inside addressed to USCIS so that I can send all the stuff back. But in the directions it says to put the photo in an envelope, then staple the envelope to the notice.

So I think I will put the photo in a blank envelope and staple that envelope to the back of the RFE page, then put all that in the envelope they gave me and ship it to them. (Yes, I'm probably over-thinking this, but I only have one chance to get it right.) Does that all sound right?

Well, that sounds pretty easy!! You will get approved soon!

    Good luck!!

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

    Thanks

Thank you! I have a question for you, i do have a B1/B2 Valid visa, can I go to the Us next week? I am in Guatemala (currently not banned) and united airlines has like 2-3 weekly flights... Is it okay if i buy a ticket and go? Do you think they will be hard on my through customs? Like 99% of the people flying to the Us are either Us residents or Us citizens

    Thank you!!
