Linnn reacted to Tmac88 in APRIL 2020 AOS FILERS
Same. I understand it relies mostly on the backlog at specific ASCs, which was fine for me to use as justification when I saw no progress from the Seattle office. I’m wondering if the PD date printed or the actual date the NOA was received matters? It took almost a month to receive my NOA after filing (another wait much longer than others) but the PD date printed on my receipt is 4/14. I also just moved to a new place, just down the road in the same city, but still also concerned I’ll miss something with all the mail forwarding. I usually contact Uscis weekly now to check but last time they were basically like, I see you’ve already asked about this several times, nothing has changed, you were already told to wait 90 days, etc.

Linnn got a reaction from Aeiou1357 in Milwaukee interview rescheduled ?
Update from my side: contacted USCIS again and they said that it can now take up to 90 days after reopening to get a biometrics appointment but it shouldn't take any longer than that. Has anyone received anything at all? I feel like they aren't moving forward at all..

There is no question on patience and staying positive, there are no other choices for us but to not have even a biometric update in 5 months is severely delayed scenario. We are just expressing our frustration which is natural I guess. Appreciate your possible explanation on the delay. And my timeline is up to date. There has been nothing post NOA.

EAD & AP the APP finally updated with the long waited words - CASE WAS APPROVED 11 month after my I-129F was approved.
how long will the notice and cards take to come through.
I hope this is an indication all April 20 AOS filers are soon receiving positive news...

04/13, Houston TX... Still waiting for bio. Agent told me may be end of October.

He had his biometrics taken on August 12th for both the AOS & EAD. But nothing was applied to the AOS and now it’s looking like there’s an issue.
We actually want the AP more than the EAD. So I’m bummed that one is at a standstill.

So, I tried calling this morning and waited for 40 minutes to talk to a representative. I asked if I could talk to a Tier 2 officer and all she told me that he/she would tell me the same thing as she did with "I will have to wait a little more since the ASC's are backed up"...

my husband has been trying to talk to a tier 2 for a full week now. They keep saying they’ll schedule a call back but that never happens.
Last time he talked to someone they told him that his case had a weird comment they’ve never seen before.
I’m just frustrated because his EAD card came without the AP, no progress has been made in his AP. And his AOS still says biometrics scheduled. It seems like they’re rushing to get through cases and I can only guess a lot of mistakes will be made along the way. Which is going to make talking to a tier 2 even tougher.

I'm not really sure if it's seriously going to take 30-36 months just for an EAD. I think that they are posting that to not have people asking too much and kind of scaring people off. If March was processed and they are finally getting to April, we should receive something soon.
I filed on 4/23 and still waiting for my biometrics letter. Try to stay as positive as you can ... I know it's hard right now

What? Some July filers already had their appointments? Wow.. that is so stupid!! I mean we're all just waiting and hearing that frustrates me even more..

Thanks so much for the great help! I'll make sure to check that for sure.

Your German passport will suffice. Make sure you don’t fly somewhere where your plane can get diverted out of the country without your AP or green card. For example I wouldn’t plan on flying to Alaska in case there’s an emergency and you land in Canada.
For peace of mind you can see foreign government issued passport on the acceptable ID list from TSA https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/identification

You can travel nationally with a government issued photo id. You don’t need a green card.

Combo card came in the mail on Monday August 31st 🥳
NOA April 23rd.
I expedited in July through local congressman on grounds of having a job offer and had to send through a copy of the job offer.
I hope more cards are sent out soon for everyone waiting 🤞

I totally agree, after waiting for 50 minutes to talk to someone, they told me that they couldn't transfer any calls to a Tier 2 Officer anymore.
All I got was that the processing time is 28.5-38 months and that I would have to wait since my case hasn't moved since June.
Really frustrating but I guess I'll have to wait this long now.

Thanks for the answer but I think it's my choice which thread I would like to choose.

Thank you for sending this through. I even brought in my marriage licence to the DMV, but there was still nothing they could do (so they say). I think I will just wait to get my EAD and take that in, hopefully that will work.
I had my biometrics today and my status has updated to card being produced, so I'm pretty stoked!

I'm in the same boat (ASC is Louisville, KY), filed same date as you. Last time I spoke to USCIS they said all I can do is wait and to not expect anything up to at least 30-60 days from opening (July 27th). I understand your frustration, especially with seeing so many people receiving biometric appointments and having cards approved! Hopefully you can find out some more info through the tier 2 rep!

So, today I tried reaching out to USCIS again to find out if there has been any movement regarding my biometrics appointment.
Unfortunately nothing at all (we're in Wisconsin) and filed on 04/23. This is getting more and more frustrating

Linnn reacted to miri_sp in APRIL 2020 AOS FILERS
I have tried that too. I called them the third time today and they keep telling me that I just have to wait and it takes up to 90 days. Which super frustrating considering people who filed months later are getting biometrics done. My receipt date is 04/13.

Some good news today. I expedited my EAD on August 13th, got it approved on August 14th. Got the NOA approval letter in mail within one week of approval. And the real card is coming. Can’t wait to see what it looks like ... Good luck all

If you call first thing in the morning, when you speak to a representative just say you would like to speak to a Tier 2 officer and you will be put in a callback system. I would absolutely recommend doing it. I originally missed my first biometrics appointment, I had phoned and used live chat (Emma) several times and was told no appointment. It wasn't until I spoke to a Tier 2 I was told about my biometrics appointment that I missed. Rescheduled for Sep 1st now though, so all good.
