So exciting!!! Congrats!!!!!! My NOA1 was Feb 13. I have now seen multiple approvals for people who were on or around my NOA1 date and it is thrilling! I expect mine to take longer but it just make the whole thing that much more exciting when you know it could happen at any time now... So happy for you

Hi guys! I haven't really been posting in the forums, but just here lurking. Everything here is so helpful-- I wouldn't have even known where to start without this.

I checked our case status online today and looks like our case was approved on May 8. 
Fingers crossed for the rest of the February filers!

Thanks, Greenbaum. About the affidavit of support, I was basing my assumption off the Bangkok Embassy's Packet 3, which states to "Submit originals of the following documents," of which the affidavit of support is listed under.

I've done some searching on the forum to see what others have done, but there doesn't seem to be a clear answer, so I'll be safe and use the original documents if possible. Instead of shipping, I might be able to bring them to my fiance in person as soon as the ban on incoming international flights is lifted.

Sent in the original first submission for I129F on Feb 4th.  Delivered overnight and sms received 2/11 with case number.  Once I put in the case number into USCIS web tracker it indicated that it was received on 2/5.  Check was processed 2/11 as well.
 
I know we need to be patient, but I do hope for speedy processing!!  Of course, don’t we all?
 
As I’m sure we all have, have spent many hours researching and building the application.  Now it’s all in the hands of the officials!!

I think you meant NOA1. Usually the NOA1 will get mailed and sometimes they will send a text message. Your mileage will vary.

California is responsible for ALL 50 states unless background checks need further adjudication then they are transferred to Vermont.

Welcome to the thread. You should have confirmation this week. Once you have it sit back as it will be 4+ months till you may hear something on your application. Be patient.

Oh okay, gotcha. That makes sense. When we sent in our packet the instructions I followed said it is a good idea to send evidence of a 'bonafide' relationship. I guess that's what I was thinking about but you guys are right, it's not a requirement. Good to know the above information. Thanks!

@Paul & Mary Nope, there's nothing you need to know about Ricky. I feel like it should be fairly straight forward for us. The only things are that I have been married before (but I sent in evidence that the divorce was finalized), the other thing is that he has never visited here. Other than that, we should be good to go.
 
 

They have the in person appointments suspended to June 4th for now. They will resume it as our country starts to reopen. I hardly think it would last another 5 years. But they can't ban people who's family is trying to come here, they may delay the process, but they won't ban them.

does anyone have experience with switching from K1 to K3?? 
 
We haven’t applied for K1 visa but are thinking once we apply and process takes too long - we would want to switch to K3.
 
Is that possible? Or would we have to restart everything all over again?
