Hello Everyone,
Congratulations Tofu!
I am very happy to say, that after the deception on last Friday, we are finally DQ!!!
Very lucky to have been reviewed right after the RFE. Maybe because I uploaded the doc mission right away after getting their message et maybe their computer was still on my case... don't know.
All I know is that we are lucky.
Good luck to all of you. NVC is definitely working.
Take care,
Alix
Yay!!! I am really happy for ya, I've seen you've been struggling with the documents for a while. Congratulations!!!

Thank you Guys,
Will call NVC on Monday to see what is the problem with my marriage certificate.
@Elivita we sent our file on Feb 3rd (see my endless signature below all my messages 😉).
Take care all of you, at least we know now that they are reviewing cases at least up to Feb3rd.
Alix
Hope everything will work out great when you call!!!!

Hey Guys,
We got an RFE
The marriage certificate is not good. I don't understand because it is the official marriage certificate from the City Hall in France with proper translation (from a US professional translation company).
Anyway.
Alix
That's so sad. When did you upload your documents?
Hope you can fix that by calling or something

I don’t know if it matters but I wasn’t working when I submitted docs for my husband but had my brother as a joint sponsor and only submitted his tax transcripts, current paystub (add doc) and W-2 WITHOUT an unemployment letter from me and all my docs got accepted!
thanks for the information
I really appreciate that.
I used my stepfather as a joint sponsor and I had income enough based on my last taxes return, but was employed at the time of interview. So probably I won't need either

I‘ve read that you are required to submit a letter explaining the absence of any document.
I have the “better to have it and not need it” attitude since this part of the process is taking so much longer than normal! Better to lose 3-4 weeks than 9! However, if you’re like, 8 weeks in already i night just hold off. Might get lucky.
I am really confused since I sent my W2 and transcripts for 2018, I only work in 2019 a few months. So I don't know if they ask that to ppl that didn't work at all and didn't report to iRS any income

Yep, when I was told the first time that I called that we needed a letter, I checked every resource I could to see where it stated that and I could not find anything. When I called the second time and they told me the first thing I tried to tell them how I could not find it on any of their instructions and insisted how it could be that we needed that and they just said there was nothing else we not they could do.. On the bright side, you’re only about a week later than our second submission so your time should be coming up soon
Is it really needed for everyone?
I was unemployed when I submitted my documents, but I started working the next week after my submission. I only stopped working 7 months because I lived abroad for 7 months. what should the letter say?
