Congratulations... Please register to vote once you get your certificate! What were the questions they asked you, if you don't mind telling us? Thanks

Thanks and will do. Looks like it might be while before I get scheduled with ceremony. My wait time says 4 months lol. I dont remember all the questions but here are few.

Who is the president of USA?

    Who makes the law?

What are two rights of everyone living in america?

Who is the head of Millitary?

    For reading

    Who was George Washington?

    Writing

George Washington was the first president of America.

  2. Today I had my interview and I passed. Now waiting for oath ceremony as Ohio doesnt do same day oath. The whole process was like 7-9 minutes or even less. I waited 20 minutes before an officer came to get me. He didn't ask for any documents, just asked to see my Green Card. He asked few YES/NO questions and the test.

You can download and print interview Notice on your USCIS online account under "documents" tab. I have not received my Oath Ceremony Notice as well even though it showed up on my Informed Delivery notifications where i can see what`s coming to my mail daily but was able to print that way.

I did downloaded the interview notice and my question is if my letter doesn't show up via mail, can I use this printed notice from my account to go to interview. Even my Informed Delivery notification is not showing any letter from USCIS.

Do you mean your interview was scheduled on July 8 or you received notification online that on July 8 that your interview has been scheduled? Your next steps will vary significantly depending on this.

My bad I received online notification of interview being scheduled on July 8 for August 18 interview.

  5. Guys,

My interview was scheduled on 8 July and I have my documents online already. I still didn't get my interview letter in mail but a friend of mine who lives in my area was schedule same day (same field office), already got his letter. Should I be worried or not. Also if my mail doesn't show up, can I print my interview letter to take it for interview?

    Thanks

I don’t know anything about Selective Service Registration, but I do know that the requirement for citizenship is that over the last 2 (or 3, not sure) years you should not have been out of the country for more than 180 days per year. So having been 2 months away is not a problem.

Good luck with your interview! Keep us posted!

Thanks and I will keep updating. I hope they don't close USCIS due to spike in COVID cases

    Congrats on the interview.

    - The 2 months out of USA is not an issue at all. Don't worry about it.

    - As for the selective service, IMO you are already out of the staturoty period so it should not matter. Just take the docs they asked for, and rehearse a simple & clear explanation about what happened if they ask about it in the interview.

    Good luck.

    Will do and thank you

I think even as a student you were supposed to register as long as you were in the US from ages 18-26. If you don’t have your letter you can obtain it- my husband had needed proof when he applied for financial aid that he arrived in the US after age 26and did not need to register. Two months out of the US is no problem! Congrats!

I think I do have a letter. THANK YOU.

  9. Guys,

I got my interview notice (Cleveland Office). I filled on 10 Feb and had my biometrics on 2 March. My interview is on 19 August. They asked me to get my Selective Service Registration. I came here as student and while applying my Driving Temporary Permit, I somehow filed for selective service (legally I am not supposed to). Will that be a problem?? Also I got my GC when I was 31 years old so in my application I mentioned Selective service is not applicable. Also, in last 3 years i have been out of USA for 2 months so I should be fine right? (Coz they asked me to get all the passport I have with entry to USA).

    Thanks

Just make sure the date and submission is within your window.. Congrats, we are in the same timeframe for citizenship as you.

Thank you. My window is Feb 9 as my anniversary of GC was may 9 2017. So I can start the online application and submit everything once the window is open? I Won't get rejected. What are the things I need for this process. :)

Congratulations to everyone who got approved! I know it's such a great relief and you can focus on the Citizenship journey. From my observation it looks like everyone who got approved recently was on a K1 Visa. I think their case is pretty straightforward and they already went through detailed interview during K1 visa process. Is there anyone who adjusted from a different visa (like H1B or F1) that got approved?

I was from F1 and got approved on 10 of Jan Feb 2019 filer.
