empress20 reacted to Loren Y in K1 VISA -COVID 19 DELAY IN GETTING MARRIED
If not, PM me your info. I have been assured that I should be able to marry people again May 1st, as that is when licenses will begin to be issued. I can get everything done in under an hour, you just have to get to Vegas. You have lots of time left, don't worry too much. I have someone who's I94 expires on May 3rd I think, so they have something to worry about.

Hi.  Just giving some feedback as there isn't much info available for Trinidad and Tobago immigration process.

    Completed our medical last week.

Appointment was scheduled for 9 am.  We arrived on time and had to present our interview letter and passports and ID cards.  We did not have immunization records which was not a problem, but if you have yours you can present it then too.

We then had to fill out forms and wait until we were ready to give urine samples.

We then waited until 10:30 am at which time we were called in to see a nurse who did a detailed interview with us and told us which additional vaccines we needed to get.  She also took our temperature, pressure, height and weight.

We were then sent upstairs to get our blood drawn and then asked to sit and wait to see the doctor.

Around 11 am we were called in to see the doctor.  She asked a few questions and then examined us.

We then paid the receptionist ($1600 each) for the doctor's visit the blood work and the x-ray. The receptionist then gave us instructions to proceed to the radiology lab which is at another location to get our chest x-rays done.

We left and went to get the x-rays done (about a 5 minute drive away).  It was very quick and efficient.

We were told to call a week later to confirm if the packet was ready for pick up.

    Note about the vaccines.
We needed to get 4 additional vaccines. The nurse kindly advised us that they would cost an additional $1,600 if they were administered at the doctor's office, however if we would like, we could visit City Hall on Fridays from 8 am to 11 am and we could get 3 of the 4 vaccines there for free (we did this and it was a very smooth process).  We did have to return to the doctor's office for the 4th vaccine on the same day as we got the other three because there is some issue about receiving live vaccines on the same day otherwise you have to wait a month.  This one vaccine cost $350.

It is recommended that you do not get any vaccines before the doctor's visit as they need to tell you which ones you need to get and when to get them otherwise you may end up having to wait a month longer.

All in all it was a good experience.

Slow it down.   Don;y do extra work or make mistakes.   Like, police reports are only valid for a year.   If your interview is after 4/15 they will want the 2019 tax returns.   File the tax returns at the end of next week and then you can get transcripts.

Our letters simply stated that we intended to get married with the 90 day period of her arrival here and our signatures.

We provided no information about our meeting.

if your don’t have enough income you need a sponsor. I’m not sure if it can be a friend. You can try asking on here or google if I find out I will let you know. But you definitely will need a sponsor because they ask for w2s, tax transcripts, last three paycheck. If I was you try and gather everything and get started working on the I-129f. Then while you wait on a response  you can then gather your the information needed for co sponsor. You need more things. You can check it out and read the directions if you’re  worried it’s called I-134 affidavit of support

no you need more things it’s a process

HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE IN CASE YOU’RE NOT AWARE. If anyone has an interview soon in Trinidad or later this year. Make Sure The Person Attending The Interview Birth Certificate Is The New One. My fiancé just had his interview and didn’t have the new one, and had to get the new one and send it to the embassy
    Good Luck

I feel like once people went through the interview process they forget about this website and about all the people waiting to hear back about their experience.
My Fiance and I are pending the interview and studying dozens of "most common questions asked" ... But would love to have your personal experience with the interview and most importantly WHAT DID THEY ASK YOU?
I think this site is lacking the support of AFTER receiving/ or not the Visa.

PLEASE comment below, tell us how your interview went and help the rest of us. ❤️❤️

    Good morning,
You will take your fiancé and the joint sponsor affidavit of support to the interview. Once you gather everything on the list just email them. The faster you do it’s better, interview dates varies, meaning in my county it took me two weeks after sending it in. I’m not sure about your county you can find someone from your country who did it recently and ask them as well
    good luck
