Your residency is where you filed your taxes. If your address isn't the same as what USCIS has on file, let them know.
Hi Sandra
Thank you, i was expecting to get your response also to confirm.
One lawyer told me the same about my residency is where i file my tax, so i have filed my tax in Florida.
Without doubt this is where i will file my N-400.
I am going back to Florida next month, Now do i have to wait 90 days in Florida before i file the N-400?

Considering that N-400 is one of the few things where you need to be domiciled in whichever state you file from for at least 3 months right now it all depends what you plan to do.
If you plan to stay in TX for the foreseeable future - file with the TX address and just naturalize in TX and then you're free to move wherever. If you are going to move to FL (or any other state in the next couple of months) then move to that state, wait 3 months, and file then. Filing and moving will likely just get your N-400 denied.
Yeah it's annoying but if you want to file N-400 you both need to live in said state for at least 3 months and stay there until you naturalize. Sadly the 90 day early filing option applies solely to time as an LPR (3 years if married to a USC or VAWA, 5 years otherwise), it doesn't apply to the domiciled in state or USCIS district requirement.
Thank you Demise,
I got my PR through vawa also.
I was just worried about change of address i didn't do since i am in Texas.
That was my biggest worried, it was about the change of address i didn't do since i am in Texas.
Thanks

10 months in different state with no clear timeline of coming back to address in Florida. There's nothing more permanent than temporary in this world. I cannot agree with recommendation to use Florida address. @Roms2019 is probably a tax resident of Texas by now with over 183 days living there. IMHO it's an easy denial by USCIS saying the applicant didn't reside in the state in the last 90 days...
Hi olduser,
- In this case i can still submit change of address since i already spent 10 months in texas?
then file for my N400 using Texas address?
- 2nd if i go back to Florida meaning i have to wait 3 months before i file N400?
Please give me your point of vue which one is better to avoid any trouble.
Many thanks.

In that case, submit with your Florida address now.
Thank you for your advice.

Do this, or your N-400 interview might be scheduled at an office in Florida.
Actually, do this if your move to Texas is permanent.
Why are you still keeping your apartment in Florida?
Thank you for your response TboneTx
Actually i have my fiance still living there, so my plan was not to permanently move to Texas, i was planning to go back to Florida,
That's why i am confused about which adress to use.
So if i go back to Florida then no need to submit change of address.
I can submit my N400 with the Florida address right away?

Hold long ago did you lose your job? How long ago did you move to friend's address? How long are you planning staying there?
You need to update address within 10 days of moving. If you're actually moved to a new address and not temporarily visiting, you should not use your old address for applying for N-400. It will get denied if you don't actually reside there.
Hi old user,
Thank you for your response.
I have been at my friend's place(in texas) for 10 months now and i didn't update my New adress since i am still keeping my other apartment in Florida lease and rent receipts.
So it better to cancel my lease apartment from Florida and submit address change from texas with new address and apply for N-400?
-
Hi,
I'd like to file for my N400 citizenship, since i became permanent Residence in Florida
i never move to different apartment till i lost my job, i decided to go stay with a friend in Texas for work but i still keep my old apartment in my name(lease) in Florida.
I am worried, was i supposed to make change of address with USCIS anywhere i go as PR? Cuz i didn't do it.
Will it affect my N400?
Which address should i use to fill for N400?
I still have my old address(in Florida) i kept, and all my mails go there i didn't move out and i am currently with a friend's place in Texas for work.
I am so confused actually.
Thank you in advance for your differents advices.

Hello All,
I applied my vawa two months ago and two weeks ago I got my prima facie valid for a year. Can anyone tell me what does it mean? My lawyer told me that I met the mimimun requirement for vawa that's why they gave me PF. but if anyone know more please let me know.
Thank you
Your lawyer is right and you can also use to apply for student loan, health insurance, food stamp many more etc..... depending on your situation.🤗

Hello Family!
Hope everyone is healthy and keeping warm !
Anyone has any idea on how long is the wait for an interview in NJ as a whole and/or Newark field office in particular?
My I360 was approved 11/20 and I got the medical courtesy letter end of January 2021. This means that Vermont sent my file to NBC and NBC did a check on it before forwarding to local field office? How can we tell when our file is at the local office?
Mine was 9 months waiting period in Newark.

Yeah I will write a letter to explain in details ,the officer said that the pics that I sent to them is at same place ,whereas I have tons of pictures in different places even with some of my friends ..I will make sure I state that out for the officer ..that you claim that I have one one picture in same places , but here are the pictures of some of our daily routine ..so how come ?? I just believe some of those officers are mean and wicked !! Did you get rfe when you did you own vawa application that time !!
No i never got any RFE

Attached is my rfe below for my i360 ,Hello house @Stillwinning!!!😊 @sandranj @Lovelyday@dreamer1 @Wolf2020 @hopingwgrace @Sharshar42 @Ylx @isurvived @Ms. Lopez @Roms2019 have received my rfe from the uscis and I want to believe that person Incharge of my case is a potential devil ,or likely an abuser lol 😂 ...I sent all the requested for my i360 application.yet the officer is still sending me rfe ..telling me my joint bank account does not show the intent of our marriage ..bank account that runs for over a year ..I sent bank statement of like one year to them for joint bank statement that have my name and my abusive spouse name on it ,yet the office is stating what we dnt even understand ..my lawyer told me that the officer might likely be a low key abuser lol..cuz what he is referring to is not making no sense ..
2.they said I sent life insurance that I didn’t pay during the course that we have it ..I dnt work my wife is the one that work off and on ..I dnt even have a social security as that time time we did the life insurance and I wasn’t working so how is that suppose to be my fault ..my lawyer said he is really gonna write a serious letter back to them !! That he is sensing some discrimination in my case !! But he said we will win by Gods grace .my lawyer said even those that dnt even have any proofs like bank statement gets approved ..so far they were able to show the abuse !!!
3. They said that we pay the rent by cash..yeah my wife is in charge of the payment of the rent and all she do is to just pay the rent and get receipt ..so how do we suppose to have access to those who issues receipt .so far we paid and we get all our mails in the house that’s what matters ..my lawyer said the officer is just trying to Bring up matters where there is no matters ..the receipt carries the address we receive all our mails back then ..and my wife is the one in charge of the payment not me cuz I wasn’t working as at that time and there was little I could say cuz she is so aggressive and abusive !!! My wife even fought with the landlord that she had to instruct me that I must not talk to them as well ..that is she sees me talk to them I will be in trouble ..the officer should clearly know that there is little I could do when am in an abusive relationship ,most especially when I dnt even have social security number and have not even started working ..so she has all the power on me .she threatens me everytime with immigration and deportation, the officer should be able to know that there is little I could do but my lawyer told me that they always make the Vawa case worst for men !! But I will not relent cuz I have everything to fight this case !! And God will give me victory
4.now they telling me to resubmit the same things that have submitted with more pictures ,stating that they want to know our daily routine in our marriage ..my wife is an abuser ,she is very very domineering that I can’t even talk in the house ,she dnt let people come look for me ,she dnt let me go anywhere ..literally I suffered anxiety and depression through all of these ..I have psychological evaluation yet the officer is still trying to be naughty and mean ...but I will not allow that ..I will go hard for this so far I know my marriage is real and the officer doesn’t own immigration..I will not feel bad or relent ..I’m ready to fight this to any length cuz I know my wife really abuse me physically and emotionally and we even have what I suppose to have to proof the marriage of good faith ..just that some immgration officer are evil and they like to mess with innocent people’s emotions ..you know what they went through ,they almost die yet some officers would still want to act evil chz they might like be an abuser to and racist..
my lawyer said he will make sure you handle the case and address everything and try to let the officer know that he is just been considerate ..
I have chose not to even bother myself about the whole thing cuz what will be will be and have seen cases on here that they dnt even have any proofs and they get approved .. so I will just do what I have to do instead of thinking and thinking about one wicked racist potential abuser officer !!
Hi Blunt
It's been long time Dear
What i am seeing about your case, you need to submit to them every copies of proof you submitted before with a explanation letter that you didn't have ssn and working permit that time that's why you couldn't do such and such.
Tell them in details you were limited
