Hi guys,
I'm really happy because finally my interview was scheduled. I have a question regarding the interview, does my husband (sponsor) needs to bring his birth certificate to the interview? I'm asking because he's a naturalized US Citizen (we have naturalization certificate and US passport) but we don't have his birth certificate.
When I sent my original packet, I didn't include his birth certificate and I never got an RFE asking for it.
Thank you in advance.

Congratulations! that's a good news. Did you take any action? I mean, did you contact congressman/senator or did you send any service request?
No, no action on my part. I was fortunate enough to get my EAD on time, for the rest just wait.

No, they haven't asked. I'll have to provide that at the interview.

Finally, after months of waiting, the interview for my I-485 was scheduled. FO is Los Angeles. Timeline in my signature.

Hey all - How did you fax your additional informations for your expedite request? I obviously don't have a fax machine at home and I tried to do it from my phone and computer.
Thanks a lot!

AP request based on pending I-485 doesn't require biometrics. Only AP request done outside the US based on humanitarian reasons or for significant public benefit requires biometrics: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-131instr.pdf Page 12
Page 12 only mentions that the biometrics service fee is not required.
QuoteThe biometrics services fee is not required
Biometrics is still needed for AP

Finally, yesterday I got my biometrics appointment notice. The appointment is on 12/21. Los Angeles ASC. Priority day is May 12, 2020.
I only got an appointment for I-485 and I-765, but not for I-131. Has anybody asked to get biometrics for the missing form presenting the I-797C for the given form?

Hey everyone!
I guess today was my lucky day with a tier 2 agent. He scheduled a bio appt for me! It's on next month but at least I finally have a date! He can't send the notice through e-mail yet unless it's 5 days before the appt but I'm supposed to get it in 10 days on the mail. I guess it's about trying and trying until you get somebody nice. I hope this is true though bc if it's not I'll be really sad.
Good luck everyone!
@mvasantos did you had a previously cancelled appointment? or do they scheduled for the first time?

My understanding is that you cannot extend your TN. Applying for AOS automatically disqualifies your ability to apply for TN/extension (the basis of a TN visa is that you are in the country TEMPORARILY). How about trying expedite your EAD with your job offer?
On 9/15/2020 at 3:32 PM, Rearviewmirror said:Yup, I'd second this approach. Expedites for EAD seem to have been pretty successful if people have a job offer in hand.
But I cannot expedite without biometrics, and, as I stated in my post, I'm still waiting for biometrics appointment

Hi, I'm a mexican TN visa holder, my visa expires on November 18, 2020. Currently I have a AoS pending, still waiting for biometrics appointment in Los Angeles (ASC reopened on July 27). I'm a bit worried that I would not be able to get my EAD on time to continue working and my question is, would it be possible to file an I-129 to extend my TN (I know it would be denied because of my AoS) but this will extend my work authorization while the I-129 is processing giving me more time to get my EAD. Has anybody try this? Would you recommend to do this? TIA

Has anybody in Los Angeles get their biometrics appointment? My case was received on May 6, got NOA 1 on May 15. ASC opened on 7/27 if I recall correctly but still no biometrics appointment

Third time is charm. First time sent in March 5 rejected because an issue with our credit card. Second time rejected because I forgot to sign the I-485. Finally, third time, received on May 7. Checks cashed and case numbers received yesterday (May 14).
Has anybody successfully expedite EAD without biometrics post covid-19? I had biometrics from December, 2019 when I renewed my TN visa, don't know if they can used those.

They assembled in that order for a reason. No reason to undo what they have done

Thanks @payxibka. Do you recommend to send it the way they returned or separated by forms?

My package was received at the lockbox PO on March 6th, and still no text/email confirmation from the G-1145. Anyone else received any confirmation from a similar timeline? Also not sure if there are delays because of a) everyone filing before February 24th or b) office closures because of COVID-19.
Mine was received on the 5th and still no confirmation. Fingers crossed I get a notification next week, getting a little anxious.

Congrats @emrie
I, too, submitted my AoS packet yesterday and according to UPS they delivered it this morning. Crossing my fingers.

A couple of weeks I asked about using beneficiary's income to file for AOS (link).
My timeline is more or less, get married in December, wait for W-2 from work end of January, do the taxes as Married Filing Jointly, wait for 1040. Once we have it the next step is do AOS.
My question is how should we fill the I-864 form? Should I also include I-864A? Should we even wait for the 1040 submit the AOS package ASAP?
Thanks in advance

Thank you all for the replies.
One more question, how should I fill the form I-864? Should I submit this or should my fiancé be the one submitting it with my income?

Hi all,
Thank you in advance for any help,
I little bit of background, I met this guy three year ago. 2 years ago we got engaged and moved in together (we have plenty of evidence like him being added to my car insurance, authorized user on my credit cards, phone plan, iCloud family account, etc). I'm a software engineer from Mexico working on a TN Visa currently making ~130k annually.
Now we want to get married and file for AOS around January next year. Only issue is that my fiancé is not working (he's currently launching an app and has no income). Is my salary enough to satisfy the household income without requiring a sponsor? (we have had a lot of issues getting one) is 10 months left on my visa enough time for processing?
Thank you
Interview scheduled, does the sponsor needs to bring his birth certificate?
