After maybe 30 mins with the officer this morning in Des Moines, my application has been "recommended for approval"!
So, a little more waiting to find out when I have to attend the oath ceremony. Sad that I couldn't have it same day, but in Iowa, I get they'd want to have a big group before doing the ceremony.

I have been reading all the posts since i got my citizenship approved and I can not find a reasonable explanation of all the delays and issues related to case completions. It,s sad I know but you all hang in there, it is going to take a little bit longer but everything is going tobe all right. Praying for you all.

The journey is finally over. I had my interview and oath ceremony today. The IO asked me if I wanted to schedule the oath ceremony for a later date. I told him that while the IOs have all been very nice during this whole immigration process, I was done with having to come back for another time. So, I got sworn in and I have an appointment later today at the post office to submit my passport application.

Good luck to everyone still waiting.

It’s the same process for everyone. He may get his interview waived as he is under 14, depending on the embassy procedures and on whether they may have extra questions seeing as he has a citizen parent.

Call them again tomorrow, or 3 times a week. That’s how you are gonna get it done, pushing. Don’t sit and wait. Just a heads up based on past experiences.

Finally after 4.5 months since my interview I got my oath ceremony date... so crazy how random it is that some people wait 10 minutes after interview to get it scheduled , and others  wait for months... and we’re talking about the same field office

Last Friday 5/28 I had my ceremony in New Orleans. Very emotive and exciting ceremony. I am glad my immigration journey is over. I’ll apply for passport on Tuesday and then update SSN and register to vote. Of course  I will be around to help people that are in the same boat !

I know it's frustrating. I have had very bad episodes on my journey, one big one was when they scheduled my appointment for n-400 interview and they canceled the interview in my face when I was waiting outside to be interviewed, at the USCIS buildimg, that was a kick on both nuts. Hang in there, everytihing is gonna be allright. For what I Understood both N-400 and I-751 interviews were succesfull? All what you are waiting for is approval and oath ceremony dates??

I passed my citizenship interview a few weeks ago and I am actually waiting for the oath ceremony in a few weeks. I think the pros to me are that I can live in a different country and not worry about the green card. If you live out of the USA for more than 6 months you can get in big trouble with immigration. Other pro is that getting a USA passport is a big advantage when traveling. Being a Citizen open more door for jobs that require people to be citizens. To me being a Citizen is obviously better than holding a GC. To me coming from a country like Argentina and becoming an American citizen is like a dream ! Good luck to everyone !

Normally they send the the cases to Quality review. In my case,  the officer did not approve it the same day, she marked where it says recommended for approval. The day after at 8 am they posted the appointment for the Oath ceremony which means i was approved. My interview was on last april 28th. Good luck.

    Good afternoon  everyone,

I had my interview yesterday at 1:15pm NYC Manhattan office my wife came with me to the interview no problems they let her in when we got to the officer who is assigned to our N400 we told her that I have a pending I 751 it took them at least an hour to find my I 751 and I ended up doing both interviews.

I passed the test for N400 and and along another question about our relationship then moved on I 751 watch is the same thing.

I was given a piece of paper says I passed the history civics and writing test but can’t make a decision.

Anyone knows how long is going to take them to make a decision? And how?

I had my interview today in the morning. It went well overall. The officer started asking me about my travels outside the country. She said that I was using my B2 Visa that is on my passport and it looks like I quit my permanene residency. I told her I had no clue about that, I always used my green card and my passport to travel and I had no clue what the officers at the airport were looking at and what they stamped in my passport and then she said that it looks like somebody else had the same Alien number than mine, at that point I was petrified and had no response to all of this, then she asked me to step out the room that she had to call the supervisor. 5 minutes after she called me back and kept asking me about my travels out of the country until she said, ok let's proceed with the interview. She asked name, address, wife's name, kid's name, for how long have we been married, phone numbers, and 2019 taxes. Then she asked me if I wanted to be interviewed as a 5 year petitioner, she said that way I don't have to show her any paperwork ( 😐  ) I said yes ok. Then she started with the Yes and No questions, She tested my English - writing and reading, and then she proceeded to the civics, history questions, she made 5 questions and that was it. She asked me if I knew what a Oath of allegiance was and then she made me sign the Form N-652 whch she marked the box A) Congratulations! your application has been recommended for approval. and then she said that's it, I did not have nothing to do but wait.

Hours later I checked my case in my computer and Found this 👇👇👇👇👇👇  . I hope everything goes well. I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel, but lets wait for the letter ! I still anxious hehe !
