Not sure what letter you are referring to but Montreal consulate has info on doctors in ON that are qualified to perform medical checks for immigration process. Check this out as an example to see all you need to prep for medical exam: https://immigrationphysician.ca

Yep, it's fine to do. Once your IV is stamped it serves as a de facto Green Card for 1 year, which allows you to re-enter without difficulty.

It is allowed, but if you're planning on bringing your stuff over later that day it might be easier to do it all at once.

Got home a couple hours ago, that was a long drive but happy to say my visa was approved!!! The CO was super friendly. They focused mainly on my civil documents (original birth and marriages certificates, only asked for 1 passport photo, did not ask for photocopies of anything). Our case was also filed based on assets, but surprisingly, the CO didn't ask for any evidence for our assets at all. I did upload updated documents to NVC prior to the interview though. The whole interview was maybe around 15 minutes, super quick. Let me know if you have any questions.
My dad's case is still in Administrative Processing, but my mom and I are "Issued". Good luck everyone!

yeeeeee hoooooo! 🙃
I got an email in CEAC
"We received notification indicating that the principal applicant's request to opt-out of conversion to the F1 unmarried son or daughter over 21 years of age of a U.S. Citizen preference category has been approved by the Department of Homeland Security DHS. This petition will now process under the F2B unmarried son or daughter over 21 years of age of a Lawful Permanent Resident preference category."
My IL should be next

Here is all the information you may need to get the Indian PCC from Canada. We applied ours in early 2020(before COVID) and got it in about a week and half. They don’t send anyone for verification to Indian residence unless there is any red flag in their records. My experience was that preparing the application took some time and efforts but once we submitted the application, it was fast and smooth process. We didn’t go to India since our 2020 PCC so have no experience of renewal or recent processing time.
