  1. Too late now 😬 already ordered the standard one. Plus the passport card. But, since I only left the country once in the last six years, I don’t think my traveling habits will change rapidly the next few years 😆 so, hopefully, I'll be fine with the regular one.
  2. Wish I knew that. Even had a certified copy of my naturalization certificate with me 🫣
  3. Thank you! That's what I was thinking. We did it my way though and sent it off without a birth certificate. Mainly cause I didn't bring one 😅 we'll see, if I was right or not.
  4. Sorry! Didn't realize we had a sub-forum for that 😅 never thought, I'll make it that far, so I didn't look further.
  5. I went to the post office today to apply for my passport. The clerk told me, I have to send in my foreign birth certificate AND naturalization certificate 🤨 we discussed for a while. I'm sure, I only send in my naturalization certificate plus a copy of it... any insight, if I'm right or wrong?
  6. Welches ist dein field office? Habe ja ungefähr zeitgleich mit dir beantragt.
  7. My officer indirectly asked me during the interview. When he wanted me to sign something at the end and make sure all the data is correct, my name, birthday, A-number, etc... and I told him, I don't know my A-number (he had my Greencard laying on his side of the desk). But he just said that I don't actually have to check that and that he knows the number is correct since it's on all my paperwork 😆 I guess, it's just a formality. I wouldn't worry about it.
  8. How do I find out, if I can take someone to the oath ceremony with me? It doesn't say it in the letter. Do I call the courthouse and ask? 🤔 By the way... I talked a little to the officer after we were done with the formal part yesterday. I had my interview in NC, but live in VA. And apparently VA has a weird legislation (according to the officer). They don’t allow VA residents to take their oath in NC. So, on the day of the oath ceremony an officer from NC has to take the certificates and take them to the courthouse in person, which is about a 4-hour drive. Always interesting to see how they complicate things 🫠
  9. Thank you! 😊 Also just received the date for my oath ceremony. It's gonna be end of April 🎉
  10. Just got done with the interview... He said, I passed 😁 But I got the usual slip that says "a decision can't be made at this time".
  11. Wasn't planning on doing it before the interview 😆 but probably afterwards, once I get home lol I had a somewhat "unpleasant" officer during my AOS interview. Never smiled, told me to stop looking through paperwork after he asked me about a detail of something (can't remember what it was) because otherwise I'll fail the interview for not paying attention... I hope, this time I'll get a nice officer 😅
  12. Okay, thank you! 🙂 I hope, I'll get a nice officer, who just asks me the most basic questions. I tend to forget stuff when I get nervous 😅
  13. I wouldn't have filed with a divorce waiver, if I still had a husband 😝 And I prefer the answer with the lightning (not going to say it during the interview though).
  14. I got an app, a book and flashcards... I make my boyfriend go through all the flashcards with me. And I'm complaining every time why "got hit by lightning while flying a kite" is not one of the answers. Very disappointing... That's the only thing I knew about him before I actually studied the questions 😂
