  1. I have BC/BS of Alabama. I added my wife as soon as we were married. I received emails about once a month asking me to revise and add her social security number. She did not get it for almost 8 months. We had no issues in coverage or payments for anything. I simple added it "online" as soon as she got it.
  2. Check out the webisite for the Philippine Embassy in Chicago. chicagopcg.com (services), they have a complete list of requirements and fees for renewal.
  3. Motor vehicle crashes were the leading cause of death for children and adolescents, representing 20% of all deaths; firearm-related injuries were the second leading cause of death, responsible for 15% of deaths. Among firearm deaths, 59% were homicides, 35% were suicides, and 4% were unintentional injuries (e.g., accidental discharge). (The intent was undetermined in 2% of firearm deaths.) In contrast, among U.S. adults (≥20 years of age), 62% of firearm deaths were from suicide and 37% were from homicide. Furthermore, although unintentional firearm deaths were responsible for less than 2% of all U.S. firearm deaths, 26% occurred among children and adolescents.
  4. As being a life long resident of Alabama You CANNOT, I repeat CANNOT! Just walk in a gun store and buy a gun without a background check, that goes for pistols, rifles or shotguns. At one time, if you had a concealed carry permit you could purchased based on that. But due to a few Sheriffs giving permits without background checks, that privilege was soon taken away. As for concealed carry permits; the State just past the "Constitutional Carry Law". Although you can carry without a permit, you still have to be able legally to carry.
  5. As for help... The US officials will want the actual case summary for each arrest. This will show all the what, where and how's about each case. You should be able to get this from the court house where the case was handled. Do not assume that they will not find out about EVERYTHING. See Part 3. Other Information of the I-129 application for specifics about reporting criminal history.
  6. Arrived at the USCIS office in Montgomery, AL a little early since you can never account for traffic. So, it gave us time to get something to eat just off the interstate. The office doesn't open until 7:30 and it says you can only enter 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment which was at 8AM Once inside security checked our paperwork and ID's then we went thru the metal detectors.. so; no knives, guns or bombs allowed. We were then directed to sit in the chairs in front of 4 windows. The gentleman at window 1 (the only one open) was obviously having issues getting the computers to work. We were called to window 1 and were checked in. They only asked for interview paper and both our drivers license and my wife's passport. A different person came out of side door to speak to us. He said he only needed to talk to my wife and I could wait. She was sked to bring her ID, passport as well as her medical papers and our sons birth certificate. I thought, oh no, not this kind of interview! But in less than 5 minutes, she came out and said we could go and she would be getting her green card in about 2 weeks. She said they only asked her a few basis questions like what is your home address, when did you get married and have you committed any crimes to which she replied "not yet". This got a big laugh from the interviewer and she was asked to reply yes or no. That was it.
  7. We drove but it was from Legazpi to to the province and back for a week. I never had any issues with being stopped. But the traffic was crazy, I don't see how there is any straight sheet metal on ANY vehicle. Very few if any traffic signals at any intersections, other than major ones in town. The big buses must be driven by ex kamikaze pilots because they drive them like they are sports cars. Don't even get me started on scooter drivers. Just when you think you've gotten ahead of all of them, you have to stop and they catch back up and pull in front, beside... hell, they would go between you and other cars. And don't forget, a 2 lane road can be occupied by at least 3 maybe 4 cars.... just blow the horn.
  8. My wife had the same situation. The interviewer actually had her crying by telling her things; like US men only want slaves and that she might end up cut into pieces and put in the freezer. The CFO is "supposed" to be giving anyone leaving the country information on their rights when in another country and to provide them with resources on how to handle situations and paperwork to contact the Embassy or law Enforcement. But some have turned to using scare tactics and misinformation to get the person leaving to second guess themselves as to whether they want to leave or not. I think some get their "jollies" on intimidation and scare tactics. I have not heard of anyone that was actually denied a CFO, but I guess it could happen if the interviewer has reasonable doubt about from the answers given to them. She needs to have a thick skin, answer with confident, short and straight forward answers. Do not show any doubt about the relationship or the fact of moving to another country. Do not let the interviewer bully her. Good luck...
