Us lowly Nebraska folk hope July 2020 will be our month 🤪🤪 God damn 12 months is ridiculous just for an initial review. 👎

In a rather selfish way, this gives me (a poor Nebraska recipient) hope that now it is genuinely all digital, the workloads are balancing out to make it more fair. Sorry Potomac peeps but that is my hope. It’s wrong that one service centre takes over 12 months and another takes 6!

I was determined I wasn’t going to file the I-129F but after the comments from other users, we mailed our I-129F for the K3 the other day. Hoping to be delivered on Monday and get a second reference! Fingers crossed for a speedier review 🙂

We have decided NOT to file the I-129.
With the current published processing times, we should have ViH for three months after the two year anniversary. To avoid any more dealings with the wonderful USCIS we will patiently wait as the RoC sounds like a right pain in the teats.

No, I don't think they're working on our individual applications for months at a time trying to dig up dirt or review everything in our backgrounds. I think there are just soo many, they're that back logged. Once the file gets to an officers desk for review, as long as there's no hiccups, missing info, and no RFE's needed, it's moves through approval quite quickly it seems. That was the impression I got reading this article anyway, a Q&A with a former USCIS adjudicator, but it is quite old.

My next thought is I wonder if the processing times will be made consistent across all service centers now digital records appear to be the norm. I would imagine if it’s all online and files can be adjudicated digitally, I think they will slow Potomac and level it out with Nebraska. It doesn’t seem right that one centre can complete on half the time. We shall see what all happens.

I wonder if the IOE references are still in a trial mode, or whether they will revert back to the old service centre codes.

It seems more likely from the amount of IOE references that it’s the new normal and processing times will likely reflect the current posted times.

Is anyone aware of a August filer without an IOE reference?

We received a text message from USCIS on July 16th. I’m also in the British boat so great to be able to see how everyone else gets on with the process. Sadly not received the hard copy NOA1 letter yet.

Sorry should add. We were given an IOE case reference too
