Hi everyone, hope everyone is doing well.
I had my oath ceremony on May 07, 2021, I had my name change during the N400 interview. I waited for about a month and then I made an appointment at the local SSA office to update my social security record on 06/09. The officer said that USCIS could not verify my status and told me to wait. It's been 2 weeks now and I have not received any update from the SSA.
Then I tried to renew my driver license with name change at the local DMV, but also they failed to verify my "proof of lawful presence". They opened a case with USCIS.com/save, and I check everyday, case is still under review.
Has anyone had the same issue? What possibly is the reason and how should I get this resolved.
Thank you for all your advice and comments.

Quick update:
I had my interview today, Wed 04/07/21, passed and had my case approved.
I studied for the 2008 version of the test but I was asked questions in the 2020 versions, but I made it. Basically just the same question but different way of asking.
Since I will have my name changed so will have to wait a few more weeks for the name change certificate to be signed by a judge so I can go to the oath ceremony.
The officer who did the interview was very nice, we spend almost half of the time talking about Yankee Candles (she even talked about it during the test :)).So glad that my journey finally ends, wish everyone else best of luck.

I have the same issue. I just filed a police report and they will send me a copy of the report this week. My interview is on April 07.
I will try to have the embassy issue a new one as soon as I receive the police report, if the new passport does not come in time I will just bring the copy of my passport and the police report with me to the interview.
I have not travelled outside of the US since I came here so hopefully it won't be an issue.

I think most of us had the same update. But from what I hear its not accurate. I would just keep checking back in a few weeks and hopefully some good news.
I hope this is the case, one final step of the journey and they still want to make our heart jump out of our chest

I can't believe in my eyes, today is my birthday, and USCIS has made it an unforgettable birthday to me:
My timeline is below:
07/16/2019 - I751 package delivered to USCIS (Lewisville, TX)
07/22/2019 - I797 - 18-month extension received in mail - assigned to Vermont Center (EAC-------)
08/10/2019 - Biometrics scheduled for 08/21
08/21/2019 - Biometrics done, the whole process is less than 5 minutes, no update on USCIS website yet
08/27/2019 - old website updates the case status to "Fingerprint Review Was Completed", new website still stays unchanged "We Received Your Case".
05/19/2020 - New Card is being Produced.
The whole process took almost 10 months. We did not have child when we filed but now we have a little princess. No RFE, no interview. I came to the US via F1 visa, interviewed for AOS.
Received my card today, 05/26/2020

I saw in the case tracker app today, there are about 3 or 4 cases approved today for EAC filers, ranging from EAC1990122000 to EAC1990122499
-
I would suggest making 2 separate checks - $595 for i751 fee, and another $85 one for biometrics

I live in New York and finally the wait is over. My case status got changed to "Case Approved" and "Card in Production". Thank you all for your support and good luck.
P.S. I traveled out of the country several times with my extension letter and it was smooth every where except the fact that Kiosks at JFK don't work with expired or about to expire card + extension letter, you have to go through an Immigration officer

Package received at Lewisville,TX lock box 07/18/2019

It seems Vermont cases which has the status "Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken" on August 25, 2019 do not have any movement yet. I see cases that have case number after mine already got approved or RFE,, and a case that is ready for interview.

Thank you @gray_cat ... your words mean a lot to me in this moment.
I'm just so tired and drained from this process. Right now I feel like packing my stuff and leaving the country 🤦♀️.
I sent a lot of evidence, everything I had... wondering what is it that they need additionally. I can send the same exact things with new dates.. but nothing more than that.
I had a problem with the photos. When I sent the package I sent the photos in a photo album which they returned to me with and explanation that " the format is not supported" or something along those lines. They didn't ask me to resend. I re-did it, printed out the photos on regular printing paper and sent 2 copies, one on the address where I originally sent the package and the other one to the address where my package was transferred. Wondering if they put the photos in my file or just got lost somewhere.
If anyone can share their thoughts I would greatly appreciate.
Thanks guys!!
Btw... I'm Vermont EAC1990121*** filed july 12 , biometrics posted Sep 10.
Wow, that's pretty quick at Vermont, I'm with Vermont too, EAC1990122***
RFE is not quite a bad thing, don't worry for now, wait for what they require and prepare one more package. At least they are looking at your case now. Best of luck to you
