    Hello VJ Friends!

I got DQ´d back in May and am just waiting for the interview letter and the interview.

My question is the following: since this all took so long, will I need any updated documents? Like, my most recent paystubs, or anything updated from the joint sponsor? Anything else?

    Thanks!

I have the same doubts...also regarding the police certificates. Do you have any news about our dearest consulate in Rio?

Interesting! Have you read this somewhere or just word of mouth?

I emailed the consulate asking about my own interview, which was supposed to happen in April and was cancelled. They replied saying it was “highly recommended” that I rescheduled it myself for September. A bunch of other people I know had the same reply (people who had the interviews cancelled as well). Of course it’s not guaranteed, but I assume they’re not planning to resume things before September.

It seems other US embassies processing visas  are contingent upon the travel ban being lifted from the host country( in addition to any other requirements). I would not expect anything to happen in a minimum until the US travel ban is lifted. But yeah, everybody's situation is unique and I would go by the information that is given directly from the embassy or consulate (which may not be that much).

The ban does not affect spouses, do it shouldn’t affect CR1/IR1 interviews.

Haven't tracked other Stockholm applicant's NVC timelines too much, I could but I think a lot of the profiles are usually a few months old or more since it's so empty at Stockholm but worth a try. Stockholm processes for Sweden, Norway, and Denmark but even with all 3 countries combined it's a very very very low workload, iirc in 2018 there were only around less than 250 IR cases (not even just spouses, ALL immediate relatives) in Stockholm for Denmark, Sweden, and Norway combined; ~50 for Denmark, ~50 for Norway, and ~125 for Sweden

I think it also processes Finland, doesn't it?

    WARNING POINTLESS RANT BELOW!:

So I am on my fourth submission (first one in April) and this time I have waited 7 whole weeks... and today still nothing

Two days ago they were reviewing Oct 21st and mine is Oct 23rd, and people who submitted on the 22nd have been getting DQ since Monday!!!!

They shut down the system for 10 bloody days because apparently it's undergoing maintenance, but that's obviously a lie, and no organisation around the world would have their systems down for more than a day.

So they had 10 whole days of no submissions, and that still does not ease their workload apparently....

I am so over this BS

10 months at the USCIS and now 9  months and counting at the NVC

I just want this endless nightmare to be over :(

Oh my goodness! April??!! Would you mind telling us why you had 4 rejections? That’s nonsense!!

Yes that’s terrible !! I can just stop crying 😢 this process is so unfair and inhuman ..

they ask for tax transcripts for 2018 even if my husband submitted 1099r and 1095 as he is navy retired .
death certificate of his late wife and his divorce decree .
right now we don’t arrive to have the tax transcripts online we have to wait 15 days to receive it .my husband is living abroad with me so he can not pick it in center

i am ready to give up honestly ...

Hang in there, this is almost over. Try to see the bright side: at least you have your spouse with you, while many of us don't (including myself). I'm so afraid of getting my documents rejected after long 6 weeks... I just want to be with my wife soon...

First, my wife filed I-864 and her dad filed I-864.

I added my wife as a sponsor, her dad as a joint sponsor. I received a message from nvc saying that her dad needs to be a household member not to be a joint sponsor since they had the same physical adress. Nvc said add her dad as a household member not a joint sponsor and upload I-864a. I tried to add him as a household member but CAEC website gave me a message said that you can’t add him because he is already a joint sponsor, so I added his I-864a under joint sponsor. 3 weeks later after I uploaded the form, I called nvc. They told me on the phone that I did wrong and I had to write a letter that would say that I want my father in law to be removed from joint sponsor. And send it via nvcask form. I did it too.

My wife changed her physical adress 2 weeks ago, so her dad can be a joint sponsor. I called nvc again 1 week ago, told them my wife changed her adress. Nvc told me to upload a new document that would say the change of adress and my wife’s father and my wife don’t share the same physical adress so he can be a joint sponsor.  I submitted this document on November 2th. I guess I need to wait another 6 weeks to hear something from them.

Just be careful while uploading documents, Just delays the process!

Why did she have to move? Couldn't you just add him as household member?

Good evening from Sweden fellow VJ members!

Today, I was documentarily qualified, and the status for both IV and AOS reads "Accepted," but I still got this message which is kind of concerning:

"[My partner's name] does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants for this case. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 for a joint sponsor may be submitted. FINANCIAL SPONSORSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial sponsors, joint sponsors, and applicants should be aware of responsibilities when signing an I-864 and the consequences for a sponsored immigrant's acceptance of federal means-tested public benefits. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos."

    Did anyone else experience this?

Was your partner living abroad with you and recently moved back to the us? I’ve been noticing that if the sponsor was working abroad, making foreign income, then NVC suggests getting a joint sponsor.

My issue is it asks for current employment details but no dates but then the next questions asks for my last 10 years of employment with dates. It says to put down your "most recent" employer. So if I put my current again, there's no way to say from x years ago to present, and if I use the one before that then there's a big gap missing from that one to my current.

I mean, I listed the dates of my current job on my I-130a, but not sure if that's cross-referenced at NVC at all. I'm thinking I'll just start with the employer before my current one seeing as how I just listed my current employed in the question before, and upload an additional word doc to state that my current job, as listed on my I-130a, has been from x years ago to now and the wording was unclear on the DS-260.

Not really sure what else to do unless someone can provide some more clarity.

DS260 questions are not the same for everyone (including previous employment info). They vary depending on applicant's age, gender and home country.

You're in the wrong thread. This is for people who have already been approved. Potomac isnt so bad your wife's i130 will be looked at in around 4 months

Youll be in NVC stage in March approx.

Try the thread posted by Duke&Marie

I only remember current employment not previous employment info 🤔 Ill check later 😅

what we are doing we'll just bring the joint sponsor for the interview, cos we are just starting to find one. they just want to make sure that the applicants wont be a public charge, so i'll just do my best to provide all the finamcial from hubby, before the affidavit from join sponsor

after cc i think they just gonna send the doc to the consulars, you can upload more before the packages go, but it will take more time, starting all over again

just to clarify: so we print out the i864, get the joint sponsor to sign it and take his/her documents directly to the interview? no need to upload it anywhere else? thank you so much again

  12. Dear friends,

My wife and I lived in Brazil until last june, when she moved back to the US to start a new job. While in Brazil, she was making foreign income and was declaring both US and brazilian taxes. She had no US income at all during the last 3 years, since she was working in Brazil for a brazilian company. Since July, though, she's been working in the US for her county's school district.

That said, we are now uploading our documents for NVC stage, including the I184. Our lawyer keeps saying we don't need a joint sponsor, even though we've been reading everywhere that her foreign income won't count for the affidavit of support purposes, nor her current income, since her job is new. That said, we've uploaded her most recent US tax transcripts, a letter from her current employer stating her current annual income and her last 4 paystubs. We haven't uploaded any proof of assets.

What are you guys experiences? Do you suggest we get a joint sponsor? If NVC says that the final decision will be made by the consul, is it too risky to wait till the interview and see what the CO says? If the CO says we'll need a joint sponsor, will that put us on AP? Will it delay the process for too much longer?

We could ultimately get a joint sponsor, but I would really want to avoid that, for many reasons.

I appreciate your opinions and suggestions.

yup, and the letter from his office that stated i have the complete health insurance.

it was our mistake that we didnt upload the funds at first, now we are waiting and hope for the best.

    how about you guys?

We uploaded pretty much everything you did, except for the health insurance information. Just like you, I’m not sure if we should wait to see what the officer says or try to find a sponsor ASAP.

I have another question: after you get cc, can you still upload files at ceac? I mean, do you know how we are supposed to send an eventual joint sponsors’s form and documents to the consulate? Thank you a lot in advance.

about income, the NVC said we might need a joint sponsor but the consular will decide.

my husband (the petitioner) 2019 income Jan-Jun alreary passed the FPG we needed (worked in Jakarta).

then August-Des 2019 is about 16k (working in States)

do we really need a joint sponsor? can the cashable assets helps?

    thanks

Im in the same boat. Apparently foreign income doesn't count for NVC...

So it seems the only way to get this approved would be to get a joint sponsor. Do I need to submit that to the NVS or would my wife take this to the interview?

Would it be possible to postpone interview until I have 65k in total between my overseas account and my local USA account? About 2-3 months.

    Thanks again for the info.

Im in the same boat... do you mind telling which consulate you're at? Thank you

If anyone has any ideas why NOT ONE Receipt starting in IOE has had any movement on their I-129f form feel free to add your thoughts.

    (trolls stay away)

Do you have any information about why some approved IOE petitions get stuck in limbo between USCIS and NVC and never get to receive a case number? I have a friend who's been waiting for 4 months already after approval. She's IOE. TIA
