So visa fraud.
1 minute ago, Crazy Cat said:No. They cannot enter the US as visitors with the intent to stay and file an I-485. That is visa fraud. You can file an I-130 for each of them right now to start the visa process. But it will be a couple years for your mom, and it will be 15+ years for your brother to immigrate through you.
I am asking because i was reading these questionaire on a law firm website and saw this. what do you think.

What would be the basis of the asylum?
The base of the asylum would be religious prosecution / religious racism. as christians where we live in egypt religious racism is rather common and alot of christians asylum out of the country to USA

1. I-130 for mom. I-130 for brother. Separate I-130s
2. that is visa fraud
3. visa fraud
I see ! that makes sense. Do you know what is difference in time line for Asylum application vs I 130 application ? or time line for I 130 for brother vs I 130 for mother ?
thank you so much for your prompt response and help! -
Hello VJ friends, hope you are all having a wonderful day. I just got naturalized yesterday. Now I am interested in bringing my family from Egypt to USA. I have a mother and a brother. My dad passed away. I was wondering what is the fastest way to bring my family from overseas here to USA, I have some questions if some of you friends can help me with:
1- What application do I do for my mom and what Application do I do for my brother.
2- My family have Visitor visa, they visit me once a year. Now that i am citizen can they visit me and stay here and then i apply for AOS ? for my brother and my mother
3- I heard for brother it might take some years, so would it be faster for him to do asylum versus wait for me to apply for him ? maybe he can come on travel visa and then AOS to asylum. i am not sure if that is even possible because i am not that experienced.
Thank you so sooo much in advance and hope you all have a blessed day and week.- PaulaCJohnny, Mike E and SalishSea

Good morning guys,
We filed for ROC on 10/29/2021 and still says that case is processing, we have also been waved Biometric appt. I was wondering is that normal ? we filed from Rochester NY.
My other question is that, we might move to florida soon because of better job and cheaper living, Will that affect our case status, will that cause any delays or have us pay any fees or EVEN WORSE ! RE APPLY ? -
Thank you to everyone for your help and condolences. i really really appreciate it. I hope everyone stays safe and have a good thanksgiving and a merry christmas in advance

Ok In two year plus process time you will be a USC , then you can submit for both as 2 applications. Your mother would come quickly but your brother is in a long slow line. If the laws stay as they are it would take about 12 years, how old is your brother ?
My brother is 21 years old unmarried. Would it faster for my mom to file the F2B for him ? or she cannot do it because she is not a USC

You can't bring either until you are a citizen. How long until that . Currently your brother would be a very long wait about a decade after you can submit your mother would be more immediate but once again not until you are a citizen
I am a citizen in two years, since i qualify for the fast US citizinship route.

Hello visajourney friends i hope you are having a good day and good holidays.
I have always came to you guys whenever i needed an advice and today is no different, i might have made this post before but now its abit different. My dad passed away today and as of now i am a PR in the US, i would like to bring both my mom and my younger brother to live with me here. They both live in egypt , what should i do ? what visas should i apply to. I also bought two plane tickets from egypt, can they travel with their B1/B2 from egypt to here in the pandemic ? because the US embassy in egypt suspended issuing B1B2 for the time being but they already have their visas can they travel with it ?? -
Hope everyone in the VJ community is alright, safe and having a good day. its been tough times out here for everybody and especially for me. but i know that you guys have helped me before and i know that i can always come to this forums for help if i ever need to. you guys should also ask me for anything with my messages and tracker being open for anyone to use. Recently i got news that my Father died back in egypt due to cancer, and that leaves my brother and mother in egypt on their own. I will be applying for my mother's PR in 2 years but i dont know how to get my brother from egypt to the US. i need ideas please, anyone has experience with such thing before ?? maybe you know someone who have been through something similar , please help me with ideas and/or suggestions of bringing my brother to the US.
~thank you in advance. -

Typically it will switch to non-immigrant shortly before being issued.
K-1 is a non-immigrant visa (NIV) handled by the immigrant visa (IV) unit. So once the IV unit is complete with processing, it is sent over to the NIV unit to do their processing.
I AM SO HAPPY TO HEAR THIS! , thank you so much for telling me this news, me and my fiance been waiting for so long. Thank you guys

Yes, very normal. Is your case now showing nonimmigrant versus immigrant?

So i have had my Embassy interview for the k1 visa on 9th of july 2019 .. and at the end of the interview i was told that i am approved and got handed an approval of immigration visa paper. i was also told that i will get my visa and my passport back within 5 - 10 business days (14 days). Ever since i got my interview i have made it a habit of mine to check the CEAC tracker with my case number every day twice. CEAC would show that my case is ' Ready ' to schedule an interview from the 10th of july ...after i have had my interview .. up till yesterday the 22nd of july (13 days after the interview) where it was updated from ' Ready ' to ' Administrative processing'. I am worried and i dont know what does this mean, I was approved in the interview but i dont have my passport yet, is this normal to be put in AP after waiting 13 days after the interview. can anyone please tell me if this happened to them.

Hi- I am not sure where you are applying but here in Cairo this is where the 'Address Registration' is found: https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/
Log in
Go to Schedule New Application/Schedule Appointment (1st Pic below)
Select Address Registration (2nd Pic)
Follow instructions from there and print the confirmation page.
Hope this helps.
i did that before and the K1 visa wasnt even in the list for visas

Finally today me and my fiance were able to schedule an appointment for our interview . right after scheduling the appointment they gave us a list of documents to bring to the interview. One of which is called " confirmation of address registration " I dont know what is that or where to find it. Is that the front page of the DS160 or is that the page of APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION that i got in the Email ... i would like to know what is the and how to get the printed confirmation of address registration.
