No, it won't.

It’s just that we see it time and time again, there is a pinned post, and yet the misconception persists.

My understading that your husband should receive a I-551 stamp in his passport. That authorizes him to work. As soon as he gets SSN he should be able to start. Not all employers may have seen I-551 stamp in the passport, however, meaning he will have to wait for his Green Card as a proof of work authorization.
As for banking, he should be able to open an account as soon as he gets SSN.
For credit card, because he doesn't have US credit history, he may need to apply for a secure credit card. Or if you have a good history, you can add him as authorized user until he accumulates enough history to apply under his name.
Can try applying for ID with I-551 stamp in his passport. People at DMV may know / not know what to do with it. Or wait for Green Card, which will make it easier.

From my experience here in NY, I had to wait 20 business days for immigration to process my SSN, but unfortunately after that they didn't so I had to apply at a SSA office, it took 1.5 weeks to arrive. For insurance (1199) ssn is required. As for bank account n state id, proof of address is required. I had to post a mail to myself (post marked mail), since I am new and don't have anything in my name (utility bill, lease, vehicle registration etc.). Bank of America is more flexible to open an account. After two weeks I applied for a credit card (secured one) because I don't have a credit history. All of the above was done with my temporary gc. My gc took 1.5 months after I arrived and was paid for before I entered the US.

Question3. “If you are currently married, enter 1 for your spouse”.
why do they ask that? It’s confusing.
Will there be a problem if I have a household of 3 even if its just me and my spouse. I dont have a problem with the income, i work in healthcare so I make a decent income.

Do you mean for the W-4? You can change that anytime. The only implication is the amount of withholding. Even if your W-4 is not updated, your filing status will be MFJ or MFS.

Inform your job of your marriage, and maybe meet with someone from finances/payroll from your job (if your job has that department) as they are the ones in charge of your paycheck and how much is withheld and likely are the ones with your W4. When I was at my last job, when I got married all I did was inform HR and hand them my marriage certificate and they took care of the rest. Not sure what is needed for your company. Financial documents are not sent with the I-130, financial information comes later, at the NVC stage (around 8-12 months after filing the I-130 petition). Keep in mind when 2019 tax season comes around you will also have to file your taxes as either married filing separately or married filing jointly, regardless of whether your spouse will be in the US at that time or not. Legally you will not be able to file as single

How much time is enough? Should i wait a few months? Also, what would my legal status be- Am I still single or married? Am I supposed to change status for W-2? Thanks
