Every embassy has a different K1 interview email. but the address you posted is the official email id of AD embassy.

Follow the instructions in the attachments and schedule your interview.

    Thank you so much.

How was your interview going? If you don't mind can you share with us what kind of question they asked you?

Yes. This is packet 3. Schedule your interview. Then your medical .Good luck. It will come before you know it and then on to marriage and filing AOS

I literally had goosebumps when you said YES! I've been waiting for this for 2 weeks and was checking the available slot everyday. Last week 15 June still available but now I only manage to book it on 30th June. This is really long and I wish there will be a way to expedite it.

    Hi

Thank you so much for your kind help.

I got reply from support center and was advised that I could not make any appointment because I made a group for 3 of us, so that it kept showing as “no available appointment”. So now I removed my children from my account and made one by one, I finally managed to book for 23rd June.

But I sent now request for “expedite request” as 2 months are too far and we wish to reach US before schools out of this year. Any idea how long later I should reply in case expedite request is granted?

If our interview has to be 23rd June, I would like to visit US on tourist visa. Anyone can give experience entering US while waiting for Interview?

    Thank you !

I have the interview on 30th June and in the same interested as you. Can you please tell me how could I submit the expedite request? Is there any requirement for that?

  4. Hi guys, I am K1 case and being waiting for the confirmation letter from the AD embassy to book the interview. This morning I got an email from them without any content or signature, the only thing attached is 4 attachments and instruction to schedule the interview. Is that a confirmation that I can now book my interview?

Is it normal that they just send you an email without saying anything?

Any advice from you is strongly appreciated.

  6. By the way @Greenbaum, I felt a bit strange when they just sent an email without any contents, not even say dear or attach any signature. The only thing we have is 4 attachments. Is it considered as a confirmation from them that we can now schedule the interview or, there will be another email coming up saying something?

Please find the email as below.

    * I also posted the same question in the group you just recommend to see if others also receive an email like this.

Everything that I have read states to wait for the embassy to contact you. I will give you links to follow but do not schedule your interview. Scheduling your own interview is something I do not personally recommend that you do until you hear from the embassy. I have heard that some embassy's will cancel your self interview date causing you to have to start all over with the scheduling. Your mileage may vary.

One of the links I am giving you is for the sub-forum for your country where I recommend you ask questions like this from others that are processing though your embassy. Asking here where others are from other countries only sets you up to receive the wrong information.

Don't do anything in advance until the case is ready at embassy and the embassy sends you an email to the petitioner to follow these steps for Scheduling interview, Medical exam, police clearance etc.

@Greenbaum never say thanks enough to you for your generous information.

My fiance recieved the P3 today. The letter exactly the same what you've posted above. Now I think I can just schedule the interview and medical appointments.

Thanks a lot for your help!

  8. My case got ready from 22nd Apr but I am still waiting for the P3 from the embassy. I emailed them on 29th to ask about the P3 and received a reply that they will give me more information soon. I've checked the first available date for interview will be on 27 June (which is too long 😢). I am wondering can I go ahead to book that date for the interview or should I keep waiting for the embassy until I got the P3? I'm just afraid the more I'm waiting for them the further the interview will be.

I did not think that while at NVC they done any kind of background checks maybe you misunderstood them. I was under the impression they looked at your case made sure USCIS done their part assigned your case number then forwarded your case to your respective embassy. That highlighted part in yellow that is for a immigrant visa and does not apply to you. I would suggest you visit the sub forum for your embassy/country as they can tell you more of what you need to do next. Yes there is a good chance your case will ship out on 4/16, but i would call again on Monday to inquire about that background check thing they told you and get clarification. Perhaps you'll get another person that says something completely different.

    I got you!

They confused me all them time and unfortunately the representative was a bit rude to me, and I asked her the estimated time for the case to be forward to the embassy, she told me twice that they will run the background check for my fiance and if everything is good they will transfer my case to the embassy.

Will call again on Monday to get it clarified.

And cross all fingers for all of us ;)

Thats why once it gets close to your case number being assigned say after 10 business days at NVC it's worth it to call daily. You never know what happens from day to day at NVC, it's not like USCIS per-say!!!!

    Next shipment is April 16th!!!!

@Sarge2155 hi there, I received the case number on Apr 04 and they told me they are processing the background check before shipping it to the embassy. Do you think there will be a possibility that it will be included in the next shipment?😍

Sorry for a dumb question, once we received the NVC case number, do we need to do anything (like submit any document online for approval) or just wait until they forward our case to the embassy? As when i checked my case status, there was an instruction like this (pls see the picture below) which I'm not sure if I need to follow or not.

Trust the process. Many things lag behind in reporting and therefor not always accurate. Getting on the phone or emailing is a waste of time. Your record is moving along as designed.

That's so true, we never receive any email from them and our case neither was updated in USCIS website. We have requested them more than 4 times and calling how many time I can't remember to update the email, they said yes but nothing happened.

Eventually we got everything by mail (NOA1, NOA2...) and our case status was still case was received.

I think the tracking website only work by luck 😄

Doing so may jeopardize your scheduling of the interview and medical. I have given you a link below for a thread where others are talking about the process for UAE below. Medical maybe completed now but you need to find out what they except as proof of a case. I'm on a phone and can't comment further as I don't have access to your country without extra work. P3 letter will state and people in your subforum can assist.

Have been following this thread for few days but I can't remember where did it read this, forgive me if I repeat the question of someone. Well I received my case number 2 days back, the status now is still at NVC. I have requested for the police certificate, however I am not quite sure when should I start with the medical check and etc... I also realized the interview in Abu Dhabi can be schedule 2 days in advance, which sound good to me. Thanks guys for any advice 👍

The K1 Visa is treated like a "immigrant visa" even though it is a "non-immigrant visa".

Technically the K-1 is a non-immigrant visa but it is treated like an immigrant visa because of the AOS. It is kind of a ba$tard. Non-immigrant treated like an immigrant. Other non-immigrant visas do not usually end up with green cards.

You are reading the process for a immigrant CR1 requirements.  Immigrant visas complete I864 and a K1 completes the I134. So you should complete the I134 for your interview.

You are truly amazing @Greenbaum. Thanks a lot for your help!

AOS at the embassy is completed using I-134. AOS after marriage is completed using I-864.  The I-134 is just a picture of your financial position at time of interview. I-864 is your financial information plus it is a "contract" between the petitioner and the US Government that he will provide financial stability for the beneficiary for 10 years or until such time as the beneficiary becomes a US Citizen. Can you provide me with a link to where you are reading the I-864 requirement?

    Hi @Greenbaum,

I was pretty sure that I will need the I-134 for my case until I reached this page.

    https://ae.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee/the-interview/

When I selected the Visa process, it link me to another page where they mentioned in the Financial support documents that we need the I-864 (I couldn't find any line talking about I-134). So I believe the AOS is varied from place to place.

    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/step-4-collect-financial-documents.html

Please share with me if you have any experience about this.

    Thank you so much.

    Two things.

    1. Can you change your profile to reflect your interview will take place in the UAE. Seeing Vietnam, I am ready to answer your question but find that you are using the USE as your place of interview. Most of us answer questions on two items; timeline and embassy. Thanks.

    2. If you wish to have your immigrant/fiancée visa file transferred from one Embassy to another U.S. Embassy/Consulate, please contact the appropriate U.S. Embassy/Consulate directly in the country where you wish to apply and follow their instructions for case transfer. Please click here for the full list of all U.S. Embassies and Consulates overseas.

The old Embassy will need to receive a formal file transfer request from that U.S. Embassy/Consulate in the country where you wish to apply. Upon receipt of this request, they will immediately forward the file for the New Embassy to process.

Once you contact your New Embassy you then can discuss the transfer of your fee. Be sure to have your payment receipt available.

If your case goes from embassy to embassy then NO you don't get a new case number. The case number will began with original alpha nomenclature ie. AAAXXXXXXXXXX. If her case comes from NVC then you will have a case number starting with the embassy that you will interview in. To make your payment using your old embassy's case number you establish your profile with that case number then you link your payment to your profile.

    Hi @Greenbaum,

Thank you for the useful information, I've just adjusted my country as your suggestion.

One more question please, do you know by any chance which Affidavit of Support form do they require for U.S. Embassy in U.A.E.? I found out that people use I-134 for the interview, however on the website they only mention I-864 (please see the screenshot). This confused me a lot.

  17. I got the NOA2 by mail on 25 March for the receipt date of 18 March. It took us 8 months to wait for this NOA2 and now I feel so relieved to join you guys.

I have a question which may sound stupid but I just can't find any answer from Google yet.

I am Vietnamese but living in U.A.E. for 4 years. When we file the i-129f, we have registered the case to be transferred to the U.S. Embassy in U.A.E. for the interview. After went through many topics, I am so confused because people said that the case will be transferred to the country of origin (in my case is Vietnam). Is there anybody has experience about this? I don't want to go back to Vietnam for the interview as I don't live there for so long and it will be difficult for me to require for police certificate.

Appreciate any reply from you guys.

And congratulation to those who also received the NOA2!!!
