That's awesome! Hopefully he'll be able to get us some answers! I wrote my congressman, and he hasn't answered yet.

I just got home and listened to a nearly 4min voice mail from Congressman Thomas Massey that I couldn't take earlier while I was at work. He said it's not the first email or call he's taken recently about the inconsistencies between offices performing the same task with massive differences in time. He said he'll look into it and do anything he can to help this because he feels legal immigration issues are grossly overlooked in political priorities. He mostly focused on the differences between offices than over all processing times (I feel that is fair and a great start if he does actually accomplish anything).
His message was very polite and personal to the email I sent him and not the generic nonsense BS responces I got from the other 2 representatives. Really makes me wish I had a chance to actually talk to him when he called. I may try to call the office number tomorrow that he left in the message. I'd be kinda surprised if I get back to him personally tomorrow, but who knows...😃  His sincerity in answering me personally and a well thought out response with zero political hot air (vote for me, or passing blame) really impressed me and gave me a small glimmer of hope for future filers. I've dealt with the public for the last 25 years in my job and not easily impressed with words without actions and have a pretty good BS filter. Hopefully my impressions of him are accurate. Definitely better than nothing and the best (by far!) response I've received so far...

Trust me .. I feel the same .. i don’t know what to think or say anymore .. I feel drained ..
we try to be patient ( blablabla) but come on .. after more than 8 months now and when  I see my VJ estimate ,soon  I will arrive at a year of time processing between NOA1 and NOA2 when people in Potomac sc have the time to do the whole process during that time and arrive in USA ...
no I am not patient anymore ! Too much discrepancy and inequality ..

11 months and 2 days! I see that they are finally issuing RFEs for my PD (June 6th). A few more issues each day over the last week. Just hope that I'm not one of them! Have not see any approvals though. This was the first any of the 200 or so I-130 cases around mine were changed since last summer.

I can’t lie. I’m feeling a bit bitchy toward the Potomac people in my month’s filing group. I don’t begrudge them, of course.  I just wish they’d be a *little* less joyful in their “we’ve been approved!” posts 😂

I'm on Day 39 of my 60 day case inquiry. The 30th will be the one year mark. (Pd May 30, 2018). I'm trying to stay positive. I received responses from both Senators in my state... It's as if they didn't even read my letter and their responses both deflected to the Border wall and people seeking asylum. I definitely believe the term "immigration" has become synonymous with "illegal." To some people there is no such thing as LEGAL immigration, which at the heart of it... there is a clear disdain for immigrants. I'm the daughter of an immigrant, the sister of an immigrant, the aunt of an immigrant, and only by the grace of GOD -- the wife of a soon-to-be immigrant. I know our immigration system has worked in the past, but there is something definitely broken in our present system.

Forever the optimist...it does seem the time for receiving case numbers after approval has dropped from 8 weeks to 4 or 5 weeks. I’ve lost hope in this whole process but it won’t take away my positive attitude in general 🙏🏻

Every few days I do a search on Case Tracker for the 500 numbers around mine. I just did one and while no one has gotten approvals, in the last 5 days they have sent out 12 RFEs to folks from either my PD (June 6, 2018) or the PD the day before. So I'm taking this as a sign that these cases from my PD are at least FINALLY being looked at by a human.

    Don't mind at all...

It was a little over three weeks from request to approval.

I sent my initial complaint to my senator back when we started this discussion in March...on the 26th to be exact. The senators aid called me personally on March 27th to discuss my concerns about the case backlog at Nebraska and had me sign a release form for them to make contact with the Nebraska center liaison.

They replied April 2nd stating that it's taking 10mths or longer to process cases (and they're working to redistribute throughout USCIS) and that my only option at this point was to request an expedite if I had a qualifying event. I thought long and hard about how to justify and prove it.

@Tissa On April 6th I sent a letter, photos, timeline, medical letter for my daughter, school fee invoice, governor's state of emergency declaration from our storm and bids for our property damage (noting that my husband could personally do the work to rebuild fencing, down the trees, etc as opposed to paying contractors $20k) etc. to the senators office. They sent it to USCIS along with a letter of support signed by the Senator and it was approved on April 30th (just received notice today in mail even before the senator office received a response)!!

I know the difference in my case is that my senator is a HUGE advocate speaking out against the red tape at USCIS on Capitol Hill and he signed a personal letter supporting our case expedite request. I know that we're blessed and it's unusual...clearly based on the responses from other senators on the subject. I am very sorry and welcome you all to move to Oregon (joking)!

On another note, just saw another approval from Dec 2018 India case approved today...from Potomac...with no expedite. It's bull$hit!!!

That is HUGE to get a personal response and the influx of emails from everyone will stress the importance of the story for them!! I really hope that they choose to interview you or some of the other friends to get a really personal aspect of the story and how it negatively impacts everyone...physically, mentally, emotionally and FINANCIALLY!!!

Thanks for reaching out. I read your email with great interest. It’s true—journalists spend almost all our time fretting over illegal immigration when backlogs with legal immigration are also important.  We will discuss your situation at our next editorial meeting and decide if it warrants a reported story. Please feel free to follow-up in a week or so.

    Kind regards,
    John
