  1. I would just like to share my experiences to my fellow K1 visa holder who undergone sputum test of what to expect when your in the US already, Just some ideas or awareness.

After a week of my arrival here in America my husband(fiancé before) received a call from the health district of the county where we live in, Washington State.

She informed my husband that they got my medical report exam and that it shows there that their was a problem in my chest xray and I had undergone sputum test in Phil. They ask to see me and bring with me any medical result Ive had from  St.Lukes. The following day I went to the health district gave my name to the receptionist. She just ask for my chest xray cd and informed me that they will send the xray cd to there doctor for reading and further evaluation and that they will just contact me again of there decision. After 1 week my husband  received another call from the health district telling him that my chest xray was okay and in order for them to finalize everything they would just need to take some blood samples from me. We booked for an appointment the following week for the blood extraction.

I went back to the health district for the blood extraction( Quantiferon TB) and have some medical history taken by the nurse. The nurse explained to me the process and what to expect depending on the results of the blood test. If the result is negative, which usually takes 3 days, they will call me and they will make a medical certificate that Im negative of tuberculosis,If the results will take a week it probably  means that its positive and I should do another chest xray, she gave me a paper with the list and directions  of the clinics or hospital where I can do the chest xray near the area where I live.

Luckily 🙏 we received a good news after 3 days , the nurse informed us that all my result were negative. After 2 days I received in the mail my certification of evaluation or treatment completion. Its stated there my blood test and chest xray  isnormal and Ive not been infected or expose to any TB bacteria.

Disclaimer: Im not saying this will happen to all  visa holders that had problems on there chest xrays and undergone sputum exam,  some might even have undergone a  different experiences on how they got tested or re evaluated here in the States. Im just sharing my experiences.

Well my fiancee is in her 8th week of the culture test and we are sitting on pins and needles and have been this entire time, but this last week is the worst. She is scheduled to go back to SLEC  for her vaccines on July 1, 2019. Up until now we have heard NOTHING from SLEC about the cultures. I am hoping this is a good sign. My whole K1 journey has been a cliff hanger to say the least. Hopefully we will catch a break and be able to finish this process.

I know the feeling and understand what your going through right now. I myself was in constant edge and stressed with the the whole visa process.

If shes on her 8th week and no one contact her from st.lukes thats a promising sign indeed that her sputum results can be negative. Just pray and more patience with this whole processing thing.

In my experienced I came back to st.lukes on May 7,2019 to get my vaccination. I was able to get an interview appointment before for May 10,3 days since St. Lukes. On my interview i saw my medical papers is already with the US embassy people.it was already forwarded to them.

Best of luck on your K1 visa journey.. Its a tough journey but nothing beats the feeling of success and happiness when u finally got your visa on hand and be reunited with the person you love and care. God bless

Just about everyone goes through this process.  Based on the discussions I had with the case officer (at USEM) he informed me of the steps to complete the processing of your visa:

the first AP is the immigration unit doing the paperwork for approving the visa

the first ready is a notice that they are finished and the paperwork is being sent for visa issuance

the second AP is the visa issuance people doing their own paperwork

the second ready is that the visa has been issued and is currently being processed for delivery

Then "issue" is posted and the visa has left the BIG house to YOUR house.

Once you get that second ready, it should be sent out within a few days, although we received our visa before any of the various websites that allow you to look up the status said that it had been sent out.

Your processing is normal. There is nothing more you can do at this point but wait till your ceac changes to "issued" then in a few days 2go will make the delivery.

Thank you...your reply is very informative. I just check my ceac status today and its on issued stat already.. Thank God🙏....

  5. Good day.i just like to share my concerns regarding my k1 visa ceac status after my interview because im a bit confuse and maybe someone has the same experience as me. I had my interview last May 10 and was told by the consul that i was approved, he didnt ask for any documents and evidence from me. After the interview my ceac status became AP (MNL1) (Non Immigrant visa)then on May 13 the( MNL2 Immigrant visa ) was changed from Ready to AP, but the AP content in MNL1 and 2 our different.

Im a bit confuse and anxious because maybe i need to submit any additional documents or what. And kind of bothered to why theyre different  Immigrant and the other is non immigrant. Thank youjpeg.thumb.jpg.3e123e4d4d0d7bd73d58b4f06a5cfef3.jpgjpeg.thumb.jpg.3e123e4d4d0d7bd73d58b4f06a5cfef3.jpg

  6. Ive done my 3 day sputum examination at st.lukes last March 6-8,2019 and was informed to come back after 2 months if my cultures comes out  negative. Im on my 2nd week already out of 8th on my waiting period. Stressful.

If during the 6th to 7th week of my waiting for the sputum culture result if no one call yet at that time I assume it will a negative result.

Im supposed to come back on May 7f or the immunization. My question is can i make a visa appointment for interview already say on May 9?  I am from cebu me and my fiance wants to try to limit the expenses so we want to do everything on the week im there in Manila.

    Thank you
