I know, it's nerve wracking. The day after my interview it changed to "case is under review" or something like that and I almost had a heart attack. I googled and some people said their status had stayed like that for months without changing. Luckily a few days later it changed to case was approved but that was one of my most anxious weekends ever. Luckily it's still so early in the week so you will more than likely get an update this week

Yes , hopefully !! Thanks though..

It really varies from case to case, some people get the update the same day, some the day after, I think mine was like 5 days? And then another week for them to mail it

Thanks!! Well i just really want an update saying the decision because it sucks to wait for the decision after getting done with everything!! Our officer asked us only 4 questions about the relationship and than we were just talking and laughing.. he said he needs to talk to his supervisor and did not give me no form or nothing else

In practical terms it is your passport with visa stamp and I-94 as well marriage cert. While we brought I-94 with us, the interviewing lady said she already has a copy that we sent with original packet, and doesn't need to see it.

Hey i gave my interview today !! I have no updates yet , i am wondering how much time do they take to make an update?

  5. Hey guys got done with the interview!! They asked us a few questions about how did we meet and other basic questions.. asked for some documents and we gave it to the officer!! We were smiling and joking all the time .. he said everything looks good for now.. if we need anything else from your side we will let you know and i need to show the file to the supervisor and let you know.. what do you think? How is it gonna take?

I would be more worried about your Green Card getting not delivered, as I believe it suppose to be send via "No forward" methods, so if they don't get your address right, USPS might not forward it to your new address. Suggest you discuss it during your interview.

And the older place where i stayed was my uncles house so i am not worried about that either

So my interview is scheduled at the Los Angeles field office (city not county) for September 9th. I am moving this weekend but only like ten minutes away so it won’t affect my field office, but will putting in my change of address affect my interview at all does anyone know? I know there’s nothing I can do about it as I have to inform them of my change of address I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience just to give me some peace of mind. Ive been waiting for so long for anything to happen on any of my cases that I feel like I’m overthinking absolutely everything now 😕

I changed my address a few weeks back and i havent informed them because i moved just 10 mins away from where i use to stay because i have heard it adds a couple of weeks to the process and i wasnt even aware that you have to do that and it is mandatory till later

You can read reviews here and it seems like they are straightforward and easy as well there. Since I don’t live in that district though, I can’t speak to the wait times there for getting an interview scheduled. I’m not sure. NC isn’t exactly overflowing with immigrants, compared to say LA, NYC, DC, etc so I’d imagine it’s a speedier process than those areas.

I have an update saying my interview has been scheduled i was just wondering , does the interview goes smooth here in Charlotte?? But ill check the reviews.. thanks

Yes, most green card interviews take place in 3-5 months in the Raleigh office and many are approved in the spot. Our lawyer in northern Virginia advised us that it would be 11-13 month’s post-PD of waiting up there so the move certainly helped.  He said the office here is one of the quickest in the country And it has great reviews too! Fingers crossed!

How about the interviews in Charlotte?? Any ideas??
