SouDon got a reaction from sarabou17 in Recently divorced: Do you have to wait to marry in Morocco?
When a Muslim female got divorce then she's planning to marry , she should wait 3 months that's what the religion said .
So the country as you know it's Islamic so they are going to check exactly how long have you been divorce.
You can go thru all papers but you wouldn't signed your marriage until3 months done.
Reason : ( you may had a last night with your x spouse so you may be pregnant from him , that's why this rule came to clear and clean all doubts )

SouDon reacted to When I Love in What does it mean update after inteview ?
The updates you see on your account are typical. That means someone viewed or worked on your file. The downside is that it changes nothing. The updates let you know your file is not forgotten. AP has no timeframe so there's no telling when your case will be processed. I would recommend to submit a Congressional Inquiry if you've been waiting for 3 months or more, though one can be done at any time. There's nothing to do but wait for the Consulate to make a decision or give further instructions. Calling and emailing will go without answer.

It is best not to expect anything to go fast when dealing with immigration
keep yourself busy with family and friends while you are still there as you're going to miss them if your visa is approved
otherwise,, don't deal on immigration watching and waiting daily for new info
and as for updates , we really don't get them as we would like / they just add new info to your case in their system and it shows "an update"
do not expect to see anything until the site says denied, refused or visa issued

An update could mean someone opened the file to check something, to work on the case, or just to add a note. It means only that the file was accessed. Good luck.

A pink slip after the interview means they need more time to check your case before you can be approved. You will be notified when those checks are complete.

Sounds like administrative processing. It can not be expedited or waived. Patience is the key as it could be quite some time before a decision is made. Good luck.

No, but the OP asked for helpful opinions. I corrected your misleading response, in behalf of the OP. If you want to help, post information that helps.

The applicant is always the sponsor and will complete I-864.
The sister will be the Joint Sponsor and complete an I-864 if she lives outside the applicants home. If the Joint Sponsor is married and files Joint with her spouse, her spouse will complete I-864a.
Sponsor:
I-864
Tax Return and W-2 or Tax Transcript for most recent tax year.
Joint Sponsor and Spouse:
I-864
I-864a
Tax Return and W-2 or Tax Transcript for most recent tax year.
Evidence of Legal Status of Joint Sponsor

Your wife will always be the main sponsor, no going around that. Everything that I-864 requires needs to be submitted even if she doesn’t make enough.
Her sister can be the co-sponsor - same process with I-864.

Let's not confuse people further by using the wrong terminology. There are no "co-sponsors" in immigrant visa cases. The sister will be a "Joint Sponsor". If the sister is married, her spouse will be the joint sponsor's household member and provide an I-864a.

Yes, the joint sponsor's spouse. Sister is joint sponsor.

Only a second car or equity in a second home would be helpful. It's "liquid" assets that improve the financial picture in this context. Check USCIS's definition of "liquid". Consular officers use the same definition. Primary residence and only car are meaningless in THIS context.

In this situation also assets will be good, if your wife has assets like house, car, money in her bank account etc. would make your case stronger.
