Yeah. On case tracker, I saw that they are skipping approvals completely and sending some folks to nvc

Seems like all or most of july 2 done..

I saw rfes for the 13th also

Hmm not sure what you mean skipping approvals? Sending to NVC? They are working through July, so case approvals should be coming soon for all of those. 🙌🏻🙏🏻

That’s good. I read a post on here once, from a member who always seems pretty knowledgeable (I think I’ll mess it up if I try writing his alias name!). He said it’s better to go by the information we give each other (ie updating our timeline or what you just did) and Case Tracker, since it’s more accurate. The processing times given by USCIS include the oldest cases they have currently, which can be misleading. We know there are some people from at least May 2018 who still haven’t been approved right? That’s 13 months ago, and right now they’re working on July, which is 11 months go. So it would make sense.

Maybe they have some kind of obligation to mention the oldest cases too, but it doesn’t mean it’s going  take 14 months for the majority of people to hear back.

Just trying to be optimistic 🙂💪🏻

Yeah...this is the way they say to read it..and  they say its data from 2 months prior.

What do the processing times mean?

"We now show case processing times as a range. The first number is the time it takes to complete 50% of cases (the median). The second number is the time it takes to complete 93% of cases"

It’s so sad .. damn .. we are all in the same boat .. why hiding the truth or being agressive ?

Well the FB Nebraska group was created just a short while ago by a group who said it was for "venting" , but there is a certain point that it has to become productive.. I just saw a few bully types who jumped on people, so I was out at that point.

I am writing a snail mail to Nebraska tomorrow morning. It's just going to be in 72 point font with "F___ YOU!!" on the sheet. and instructions in smaller font point "Pass it around the adjudicators. Thanks"

I posted on Facebook i-130 group the USCIS processing times....and they deleted my post! WT! I mean trying to hide it from Nebraska folks...they are seriously trying to cover up the truth...

Oh this is just insanity...We may be losing it by I mean, NSC has LOST it. "It" as in the ability to serve the American people in a respectful and timely manner. This is just ridiculous. My heart breaks for all of us.

Maybe they are trying to slow the requests for case status. We know they are working on July. Also I see they changed all categories to the same date. Wouldn’t be surprised if this changes again. Hmm

After 2 hours and 43 minutes of hold time I spoke to a officer. That was actually pleasant (one tier 1 guy was very nice and one tier 1 lady was a RAGING a-hole). The officer told me the "a decision has been made on June 22nd" but said he couldn't tell me what it was and I need to wait for my official email or letter. That seems odd to me. Anyone had a responce like this? NOA1 date of July 10th '18.

Hopefully it is good news!! 🙌🏻

Just called.. it's a total waste calling them. Would not advice it

One lady picked up. She just said case is in review by officer.

And their processing times are 13 months. Total bs

And she told me wait 60 day

    I'm a july 13th filer.

Wow won't advice calling. Hope she doesn't do something with my application.

    Was not nice

Well it sounds like it's being looked at by an officer? She said the case is in review by an officer...so that's good.

  8. Just curious, but who on here has their Facebook account set to "private" for the general public? on the FB group they are saying it's a red flag if you don't have your account set completely public? I mean... I find that ridiculous. All of my friends can see everything and that's the way I like it. Also, im the petitioner, so from my understanding the DS-260 asks for the social media "handles" of the beneficiary. My husband doesn't have any social media and likes it that way...three of my best friend here in the USA are also the same way...so I can understand why folks don't want their public life on display. It's not about hiding anything, but protecting yourself from the weirdos that are prevalent these days. Thoughts?

Wow congrats!! They should have updated online but what's going on with them.

My pd is July 13th..  my mom called yesterday and spoke to an officer, he said he had some information for my case number but he cannot give her. He will only give the petitioner or beneficiary.🙏🏼🤞🏼

How can I call, it's very expensive in India.

    I'm praying for mines 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Can your husband call? Is he in the USA?

  10. 12 hours ago, Saci Singh said:

Yes it really is.  It's a lot of everyone here who filed with Nebraska

I'm at the end of ithe rope now seriously. My PD is July 13th 2018, and nothing
Too late to file i129f 😐

Also the thing is that I hear lots of negative stuff about the k3. Anyways it was a conversation on here. But I don't want think about that now.

Yours will come any day now :)  Stay positive!

I imagine the frustration ! We just decided to try to use any legal means to try to speed up the process and be together. This path was the only one we found after our case was send to Nebraska. My I130 got approved a month after I send my I129f so maybe you can still try...

You are in the US? You got married in the US? Maybe that was also helpful for your case.

Yes, but today I'm feeling it. Oh boy.. living in India, so my day here is 5:20pm. We are one day ahead of US time.

I'm like at the end of my rope.

How can I call.. hmm I can call my mom who lives in Florida

And maybe she can call.. I don't have the money to call from here. I only sent a service request.

Side note, I'm also seriously considering to expedite at nvc.. once I get done with this darn i130, if I ever get done 🙇🏻‍♀️ giving up slowly.

I have some financial hardships here in India. Place to stay, money issue, food I'm buying is just really poor, going Nepal every 6 months take $500. Have loans also from my cosmetology school. Darn.

For all of those who can fall under some expedite criteria for NVC should consider it.  I heard it's easier to get that. I'm still not sure.

You can try it, but I don't believe those qualify... sorry even though it sounds very difficult for you. Unfortunately it's a financial burden on most of us :(

That’s it! You confirm my worst fears. Seeing all those approvals with a PD 2-4 weeks earlier than ours, I am more and more convinced that our case has red flags...in the eyes of USCIS.

I wonder if it’s possible to receive a blunt rejection? without at least a RFE first??

I wouldn’t make that assumption. Possibly they are checking something from your country and the other end could be slow to respond? I mean so many reasons why it is taking a little longer. They have to have a solid reason for a blunt rejection as listed in their handbook. I see very few people saying they got denied, and usually it’s due to something criminal, or lies about something.

I had a question.. my case is similar to yours.  But I wanted to know if my husband's parents are an important part of the background check.. because well they left him pretty much to live on his own since child. They're alive but don't keep in touch. His father is from India and mother from Thailand. He is born in India. But his parents are in another country currently.. I remember they're asking on the i130. Thanks

    Hope it's not off topic.

Although you think our case is similar it’s not..We still have lots of tiny differences. Only a couple things maybe similar. I am sure they have a very complex background check, but have no idea how deep it can go. Try not to worry..they are focused on the petitioner and beneficiary.

Thanks for the response. I was just curious as to what that comment meant..

I think folks just try to come with ideas of why some folks get approved faster than others, but honestly all the little differences between our lives, and where our spouse live, and details that we don’t even know are important...all affect processing time.
