I just called the -0888 number, got through in 6 minutes, and they received our case yesterday (NOA2 was April 2, 2019). Hope everyone else has good luck calling too!

NOA1 - 1/17/19
NOA2 - 4/18/19
I've been on VJ for awhile now researching and reading through pages of information. A huge shout out to the moderators and the other people who have taken this journey past and present! The information I have found has made this way less stressful than it could have been and has certainly made me better prepared for what is to come next. On top of getting the good news of the NOA2 my honey was here visiting so we could share the happiness together 😊

Complete the I-134 and get the other financials to bring with you and leave with her. Here is what you will need.
EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form (https://www.uscis.gov/i-134) K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014) Page 3 of 9 with an original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here: https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript Use this link to determine the income levels needed https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.

Hopefully some more good news for January filers- we got our NOA2 today! The website and app both weren't updated for us so it still says "received" but we got the NOA2 hard copy in the mail. Good luck everyone!

Once you are legally married you are not fiancés. You are spouses. Calling yourselves anything but spouses or husband/wife is trouble. You need to demonstrate that you are in a bonafide marriage.
You go to AOS interview and the officer “asks” for the K-1’s phone. AOS is then rejected because the day before there was a text using the term fiancé.
If the ceremony in Croatia is paramount to you, the cr1/ir1 is the way to go.

You make really excellent points. I've been keeping up with timelines of other couples who have filed before us and am also hopeful that the process will go faster than quoted. He and I just want to live together as soon as possible and luckily I also have the means to support us until he can work. We're two months into the waiting process now so hopefully our K1 plans will pan out faster than a CR-1 would.
The wedding would be very small and family would be okay with 2 months notice. We'll do everything in advance (Catholic wedding) to plan what we can and will get married in a small church. We're not picky but we do want to have a small celebration with both families. It sounds like we have to both be okay with planning last minute once we get his travel approval or be okay with "chancing" it if we plan sooner.
This is all very helpful, thanks everyone!
