Just make sure your documents are not upside down or sideways.
They should be be positioned in the same way you would hold them if you were reading them or looking at them in your hands.

I would suggest giving affidavits because on i30 instructions by USCIS it's mentioned in one of the evidences to prove bona fide marriages. Why would they mention something which is not of importance to them?
