    Hey guys,

Anyone knows how much time US Citizenship process is taking these days - i.e. from filing (the form) for citizenship to interview. If someone has a knowledge please chime in.

    Thanks,

    Sam

I applied in December 2021 had my interview 2 days afterwards and had my oath ceremony already.Dallas field office

    Hello everyone,

I just did my interview and will be scheduled for oath soon. I told my officer about my travel plans and she did note in my file not to schedule me at a certain timeframe. Does MyUSCIS update online if my oath ceremony is actually scheduled? Right now it is saying i will be scheduled for ceremony. Im not sure if it will update further when it is actually scheduled.

    Thanks.

Mine showed scheduled and notice mailed after a few hours continue checking and you can actually download and view the notice

How did it go? Any insights to share?

It went well I have my oath ceremony tonight at 7pm.They asked me 6 questions for the civics test, had to read out a sentence and write down a sentence for my English reading and writing. Also asked if I travelled out of the country recently and after that they said congratulations. They didn’t even ask to see my tax transcripts or any other document.I requested name change and gave my marriage certificate and it was updated.

I applied december 2021 and have my interview this coming Saturday

    Biometrics waived .

Today got notification from USCIS my interview is scheduled in April.

I am filing based on 5 years residency. Filed initially in Texas.

one of the things is required to have is "Any evidence of Selective Service Registration" on the interview day. Do yall know what is that? Where can I get it from?

I’m the same with you on 5 year residency and interviewing in April ,fingers crossed we get this over and done with

Do you have an online account with USCIS? If you do,  they probably attached your interview notice there. See the picture I attached - if you have a tab called “documents” click on it and it will show all the notices from your process.

    Hey Everyone!

I’m just wondering...maybe someone can explain. So back in 2013 I met and married a guy from Algeria. After only a month of being here I married him to stay within the K1 guidelines. Anyway, right after I married him it was evident he was using me. I asked him to go home and well a whole big thing took place...found weird pictures of my then 5 year old on his phone. Anyway he left in the early morning one day and went to live with my neighbor! I never filed for his papers. I did file a restraining order on him because he tried to call my daughter into an abandon house. Anyway today I found out he is here legally...living in Connecticut. He is getting married in Algeria next year and bringing his wife here. I’m just wondering how that is possible. He overstayed his visa and I never filed for his AOS. I thought you couldn’t adjust your status if the K1 petitioner doesn’t file your AOS. I really don’t care what he does...I guess I’m just wondering how it’s possible. Especially I went to immigration and filed a “report” against him when he left. If someone can explain how this could possibly happen please tell me. Thanks in advance!

It’s been 7 years he could have married someone else in that time and it is enough time to have gotten his citizenship, why are you worried about him being legal?Do you suspect he might have filed on his own using your name?

Congratulations! I am a divorce waiver as well for SRC,  filed November 2019. Can you tell me what you sent? You did not have RFE or interview, correct? Thanks!

I just sent lease agreements, bank statements, car insurance, pictures and sworn affidavits from friends. My file really didn’t have much and I divorced after I had filed so I sent the divorce decree in May 2019

    Dear Friends,

Can anyone tell me how many days/weeks/months it takes NVC to send the interview letter at the Consulate after all documents are qualified. I have 3 Immediate Relative Petitions that are now in DQ.

The 1st case was DQ on Oct 4th, 2nd Case on Nov 7th and the 3rd (and Final) on Nov 19th. Our Consulate is in Mumbai, India.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you

    SSNK

Anytime from 2weeks to 3 months and from my understanding India has a lot of applicants so it might take longer than that
