I just took some training on Toyotas new all electric coming this summer. I was underwhelmed. The BZ4X its a nice car, but range in the low 200's and price point of 40K starting. I am all about Hybrids. The price point between hybrid and conventional is getting closer and closer. A Camry that gets 52 MPG aint too bad.

I use to manage all the shipping for a company. You have no idea how much 5 dollar + a gallon diesel affects everything. Look around you. everything you see at one point was on a truck. Freight companies bill a flat amount for a shipping lane. Say Atlanta to LA. Then they have a fuel surcharge that varies depending on the price. When Diesel was 3 bucks a gallon it was around 15% So if Atl to LA was 4000 so lane total was 4600 Now at 5 buck a gallon it is 35%. So Atl to LA is 4000 so lane total is 5'400 Increase of 800. Translates to about 30 dollars more per pallet on Truck. Truck holds 26 pallets This is massive a inflation driver, .

This is more typing than I ever care to do. I grew up in the deep south. My great grandfather was a confederate soldier. I have always seen the Civil War as a stand to a federal govt that ignored the constitution part about all rights not specifically given to the federal govt shall be reserved by the states etc I have given it a lot of thought lately. A black coworker recently went to Stone Mountain park and posted a picture of the confederate Generals carved in the Mountain with a comment that he felt a certain way. I always feel I have a gift to see things from many view points. If I was Black I think I would feel the same way about a monument dedicated to a system that basically advocated for genocide and slavery of my ancestors. Someone said recently, how would Jews feel if there were statues and monuments to Nazi leaders in Germany? Opnions. Ever notice how right at election time we have some explosive issue that prompts massive civil unrest. Remember the alleged unjustified shooting of a black man in Atlanta during the last election.
