tombs07 my wife just had her biometrics done two weeks ago. So no interview for "removal of conditions" for green card extension? due to covid I'm assuming... given our timeline for the group, next year is N-400!!! Exciting!!! Did you guys have to do biometrics again? my wife had hers done in Argentina, not sure if that's the reason why she had to do it here again. Either way, it wasn't re-used for some reason.  Congrats!! Happy for you guys!

Hi cm17, they used my old biometrics and I did not go through an interview. I wouldn't want to give false expectations but I am hoping it would be the same process for you. Upon writing this, I just received my green card valid for 10 years. Good luck and cheers!

I just received a mail today from USCIS regarding Notice of Action letter stating that my conditional status is extended for 18 months from the expiration date and said that they have received the $680.

Technically, I can apply for N-400 next year while I have my conditional green card. What do you think about this guys?

The lengthy processing time for I-751s is significant because, after three years of residency in the U.S., green card holders living with their U.S. citizen spouses are eligible for naturalization. This means that many people will be eligible to naturalize before they know whether the conditions have been removed from their green card and they have thus been approved for permanent residence.

WE HAD OUR INTERVIEW YESTERDAY AND WERE APPROVED ON THE SPOT! AND GOT A NOTIFICATION THAT GREEN CARD IS BEING PRODUCED! Okay, okay, no more Caps Lock! 😂

Here is our interview experience for San Diego. Our appointment was scheduled for 9 am but we arrived about 30 minutes before. It took us about 10 min to get through security because it's basically airport style and we had to take off our shoes. We went upstairs to the waiting area where there was about 20 other people waiting and we waited about 20 minutes to be called. At this point, I was pretty nervous because some of the officers we saw looked pretty stern and we saw a few people come out of rooms crying (not happy crying).

We got called in exactly at 9 am on the dot by a young officer who was dressed exactly like my husband! We went into the room and he had us stand to say the oath. Once we sat down, he was super chilled out and asked us for passports, my husbands UK birth certificate and our marriage certificate. He also asked us how we met! And that is literally all he asked for during the entire interview! The whole interview was much more of a conversation than anything! I came extremely over prepared with 3 folders full of evidence and copies and everything we have ever mailed to USCIS. But we didn't show him any of it. I'm assuming they feel they had enough info on us already 🤷‍♀️ I asked him if he wanted to see and keep a few of our wedding photos, which he did. He went through the i-485 questions but only a few and that was pretty much it! He said, "I'm going to approve you for the green card. Congratulations!" He walked us out and we were done! 10 minutes total! By dinner time, we got a notification that the card is being produced.

I know we had an extremely easy interview compared to some people and I'm honestly shocked by that. I walked in excited but pretty nervous! Husband was cool as a cucumber! 😂

Thanks so much for all of the support during this process! I hope you all get answers and interviews scheduled very soon!

We got our interview the same exact thing. Very conversational and not intimidating at all. Congratulations!

Congrats! Yes, the EAD/AP will come as a combo card.

    Our timeline is:

    NOA - 11/07

    EAD approved - 5/29

    Card being produced - 5/30

Card picked up by USPS - 6/3

Card delivered - 6/6 (website and case tracker say it was delivered on 6/5 but we received it in the mail today)

So you should receive it within a week of the “new card being produced” notification!

My AP hasn’t updated since case received which seems to be the norm.

Congrats again! Now the job hunting stress begins haha 🙈

Congratulations! So true!!! Job hunting is stressing me too 😂😂😂 My GC should be in hand tomorrow! Yay!
