Our case has been ready since may 6, but I cannot pay the fee because there are no appointments available. I wonder how long will it take for them to open more dates, considering the very small quantity of immigrant visas issued in my country (according to uscis statistics). What is the experience for you?

Neither the fist case number nor the one I got from the NVC works when I enter it at CEAC.state.gov
Make sure to select immigrant visa (please read part8 of the first post of this thread.) then enter the case number given by NVC (starts with 3 letters) I couldn't also track it at first but gave it a day and I was able to track it.

There is so much information I am starting to feel confused. The NVC has given us a case number. The next step will be to send it to Bogota. At what point to we fill out the DS160? Is this the only other form besides the support one that we fill out? Also, there is a fee for the DS160, will there also be a fee at the embassy? Do we fill out the form once the embassy has our case? After they receive our form then they give us the appointment or do they get our case, we schedule an appointment and then fill out the dc 160?
Thank you for your help
I started filling out the ds 160 when I got the case number from NVC. One for you and one for each child also traveling (if any). Once the status of your case is "ready" you can pay the fee in order to schedule the appointment in your local embassy /consulate. No other fees are required, but you might want to check with your embassy.
Have you been able to track your case with CEAC.state.gov?

Just to keep this thread alive and maybe cause @Greenbaum to shake his head in cringe a little 😅
Anyone on here ever watched a tlc reality show called 90 days fiance? I have recently heard of it and watched an episode, my goodness is so cringe worthy that you can't help but to feel better about yourself no matter what's your situation 😁

How does the tracking thing work exactly? I followed the instructions and it shows a package from the NVC to Argentina so I am guessing I did it right but how exactly did putting in those dates even pull up the exact package. 😮
I was wondering the same thing!

I can track my packet in DHL page now. Says it should arrive this coming Friday! So excited! The first post on this thread is definitely very helpful. Thank you.

I checked ceac tracking today and status changed from "at NVC" to "in transit" how waiting times are changing!!
NOA1 11/28
NOA2 4/1
NVC rec 4/20
NVC number 4/25
In transit 4/30
Does this mean it will be sent to embassy in today's shipment? Also, in the message box says "your interview date was provided to you by the national visa center" but I have not received any

Please, what is the AA number on the noa2 then ? Useless to track?
There's no way to track our case after noa2 except once you get nvc number ?
The AA number he is referring to is the number on the DS- 160 confirmation, that we can use in case of problems with tracking with the NVC number. Luckily I was able to track with NVC number and status is "at NVC"

If you are new to CEAC there is a nuance that needs to be explained.
As a K1, when checking your case online at CEAC.state.gov you have to select "immigrant visa" as it is treated like as such even though it is a "non-immigrant visa".
Thank you Greenbaum! I will try to track with the aa number then.

I called today and got two series of numbers for our case and none of them works for me for CEAC tracking lol
One of the series starts with ESM the other is just numbers. Anyone had a similar issue?
NOA2 4/1
NVC receive : 4/23 even though they sent me an email on the 20th informing of the receipt.
BTW: I used the hangouts app to make the calls and it is for me a lot cheaper than using phone credit, even from outside the US so you might want to try it!

NOA2 : April 1
Inquiry sent : April 13
NVC reply : April 20, they received our petition but no case number yet, and I should wait the number to be assigned within 8 weeks.
I don't want to wait 8 weeks to make an inquiry again lol but I don't want to stress over sending inquiries all the time either. So I guess I will send another inquiry in about a week.

In the first post of this thread it is suggested that we update our email address by going to the "ask NVC" section of their website. Others have suggested to send an email to NVC. Which one did you do? I have done the first so just curious about what yall went for 😅
Also, I have seen many "April fool approvals" like ours 😁. I was wondering when are yall going to give NVC a call about your case? I was thinking around Friday next week?

@Greenbaum There doesn’t appear to be a “APRIL 2019 K-1 NOA2 ----> NVC”. Are you planning getting that set up?
Congratulations!! I have been following you and hoping for your approval, so happy for you and your fiancee 😊. There's a thread already for April approvals.

If you feel the need. One day difference is not going to make or break the timeline system. But, its accuracy depends on members imputing their information and accuracy will help. Your choice. Your case is moving along very smoothly. Makes me .
Thank you Greenbaum 😁 you are very kind and I haven't forgotten your request about information about my embassy or p3. I still don't have a p3 but I was able to find some orientation on the embassy in my country. How do I send it to you?

Can i start with the police report and medicals while i wait for the NVC since today is 2weeks since i got my NOA2 and still waiting for NVC?
I am wondering myself the same. I have to travel a stay overnight in order to get the exam done and in my country things tend to take more time, so I would like to get that out of the way.

I'm in a weird situation myself. I applied for a ssn in August 2019, got married the same month, my 90 days to get married was to expire in late September.
SS waited 3 weeks to inform me that they could not verify my status and since my 90 days timeline was about to expire, they could not provide a ssn for me, over the phone they even said I could be deported?
I applied for AOS in September 2019 and asked for a ssn in the application. I got my EAD in April this year, still no SS card.
USCIS says they sent the request to SS , SS says they didn't get it and I should ask for a ssn in person. Since they apparently are not planning on opening any time soon, I'm pretty much stuck. Funny thing is that my daughter applied at the same time as I did and she got her EAD and SS card almost at the same time but she's too young to start working or drive 😆 anyway I'm grateful for that but it can get frustrating.
