  1. So we recieved a paper to file a I601. My fiancee was married 6 years ago to a lady he quickly married an at the interview realized he knew not much to complete the interview. He never returned, loss contact with her an today our nightmare opened with our relationship isnt in question but "fraud" for his first marriage. We need to fo this Visa for sure but any guidance. Seeking help with forms, wording, guidance..

The thing is, we aren’t actually married. We thought we were, but we are not. The marriage certificate is invalid, therefore we couldn’t use it for k-3, invalid marriage certificate means our marriage never happened, which is why we need K1. Again I was just wondering if I could do DCF after K1, instead of the 6-7month AOS process

Not necessary. Do one and follow through. The wait time on k1 is much faster than before.

    hello every one

plz I just need good answer for my quotation

my fiancée she got approved from USCIS AND ALSO NVC also her case at the embassy at her country lets say

she got the visa and she about ready to enter to the USA BEFOR she leave her country

we thinking if I can go get her to USA also marry her there as her religious faith but we still will do right by k1 visa no change

is that okay or will be issues when she enter to the USA

    thank u for helping me

No dont marry in another country.  If will mess up everything.  You must marry within 90 days in the US only.

Wondering if anyone has ever done this before. My fiancé and I have exhausted all possibilities thus far of getting married abroad, as he has a third world country passport and keeps getting denied from every country that we have applied for a tourist visa to, and all the countries he can visit visa-free do not allow gay marriage. So now our only option is America. Both us reside in China. I’m planning to submit the K-1 application in the next couple of days, based on current timelines we are looking at end of the year before it gets approved. Assuming it does and we travel to the states, instead of doing the adjustment of status and twiddling our thumbs for months, would it be possible for us to return back to China, and do DCF through the consulate here. DCF will be faster than AOS. Has anyone done this before? Thanks in advance!

Hi so you are aware the K visa is only for folks not married. The k3 you can be.  K visa needs one person to be a legal citizen of the US.  One must reside in US and can show support when interviewed for financial assistance.

Bringing up the rear turning out the lights I guess ( I think I am the last original member here to get an NOA2), nevertheless I kinda wanted to wait until I had the hard copy in my hand, but several people have inquired about me so I decided to go ahead and inform you that I was finally approved March 7th one day shy of 10 months (300) days. It's been a long and rough ride for sure and not without plenty of heartache and stress. I am well aware that this will be only a slight pause as there will more opportunities for me to WAIT.

Anyway I have been very quiet for several months, but I just wanted my group to know that I am alive even more so now. I want to shout out to Sabrina as she has been my rock and we have struggled through this process together. Her approval was a good day for me although a sad one too. She is in Jamaica visiting her fiance now and I truly wish them well. Thanks to all the well wishers over these last 10 months who have wished me well and thought about me and finally congrats to all the couples who at this moment  are together or who will be together soon. Only advice I can give is never lose hope!!!! Thank you all.

By the way I never got an RFE although I would have preferred to get one, nor do I know the reason why it took so long for my case to be approved...

  8. i recieved my NVC# and invoice number 3/25/19.  Just spoke to a representative on the 603-334-0888 number.  By the way everyone should only call this # and press #1. This is a short wait (less than 5 mins) and a human will ask what visa. you tell them K! and receipt# WAC#.  i was told that my file will be sent out electronically and that happens daily.  The hard copy will follow but have anyone else heard this.  My embassy confirmed this process by email when i asked.

Still waiting on "ready" .  Did my DS160

Hi my friend, I was too glad you are over this part in the process. I wish you so much blessing as we move through the next steps.  Everyone here has been so helpful to me that as I complete or wait for each step, forgive my many questions for clarity.

Again @Sarge2155 too happy for you.

Ok. My noa2 date was Feb. 19th...I cant call because I'm in Jamaica, holding would send me to the poor house if I called. Where are they now in terms of NVC?

i called and got mine 28 days after the NOA2 date on the hardcopy, it does seem that it takes at least 3 1/2 weeks for NVC to finish processing and have the NVC number ready, just going by my dates, I think you will have your NVC number Friday so you should easily make the 19th

    fingers crossed!

If NY noa2 is 2/19 will I make the 3/19 guys?? What do you think.

I can't wait to get to the point where I never have to contact the NVC for anything again. Waited on hold for over an hour and then the representative put me on hold twice during the call (she wasn't looking anything up with my case, talking to someone else in the background). I swear it feels like I keep getting the same woman who has like a semi-jamaican accent. I had questions about whether or not our case was shipped and what a case number truly means. She literally kept cutting me off before I could even get a question out. Am I correct to assume then a case number means IT HAS NOT been processed? According to the call center rep, it's just another way of recording receiving of the case and then it goes into more "admin" processing which *SHOCKER* has absolutely no estimated timeframe. No 90 days, 6 week, 8 weeks whatever. They can keep it for as long as they want. No confirmation either that they ship on Tuesdays. I wonder why there's so much secrecy around shipping schedules?

So no 3/05 shipment date with our NAO2 of 1/29 and Case # received on 2/28. If you didn't get a notification or update on CEAC in the morning, you missed it.

I must have spoken to the same lady...not rude, very polite but no bedside manner. She said they have 6 weeks to get the file and 8 weeks to generate a # an have it sent off. She also said that although my file was not there yet (noa2 2/19) I should check anytime.

Nvc sends one email she says when its shipped to the embassy with the info.

Another line so I guess we just get ready for the next steps.

    Good luck everyone.
