Not so fast, Lucy. As has been bandied about here recently by others (before the comments were disappeared like political prisoners), werds mean things. When I see a word like "currently" said by a lawyer, it's a red flag. And if not red, then at least dark pink. Why? A word like "currently" expresses both a state of being and not being, essentially a Schrodinger's Cat scenario. In this case, that while there are no plans to charge Trump in his individual capacity at this moment in time (if we trust Fischetti to be a reliable narrator of his conversation with Vance, which I leave to you to decide whether you trust what any lawyer says), that does not mean that there are no plans, at any time to charge Trump as an individual.

Will Trump be charged by Cy Vance's office? Maybe, just not now. At the moment, future charges both exist potentially and do not. To my ears,  "currently" is the sort of CYA word that ensures that Fischetti is telling the truth, no matter what the eventual outcome of charges may be. If Trump is charged at a later time, he is correct. If Trump is never charged, he is also correct.

Maybe I opened the issue up to levity with my post, we don't have air-conditioning, we don't really have a strategy for the heat. Even my attic ventilation was not hardened for 100 plus weather. Dealing with the heat requires a strategy. We don't have that for the snow and we don't have that for the heat.

We checked into a hotel to get relief for our dog who still has his winter hair style because it always rains in June. I was very worried about my parents with their 1950s post modern house. It was hot for someone over 80 and we are relatively cool compared to inlamd areas.

Our employer opened our facilities as cooling stations and fire departments had special protocols.

So I don't know what happened in Portland, god bless Portland, but in Seattle we took care of ourselves and our neighbors and drank more water. No one freaked out except the folks in the bars that closed down because it was hot.

Aunt-tee-pha didn't cause the heatwave, they inspired Marxist viewpoints that caused poor planning on the part of PNW residents and bytelling them to eschew Air-conditioning as a racist scheme. If we had listened to the proud boys we would not have sweat running down our delicate regions.

You are attempting to make your husband do something he does not want to do. Literal violation of the 13th Amendment. Please turn yourself in to your closest death panel for further processing. Moxy has ruled.

The 13th Amendment doesn't prevent your employer from imposing a "no fish in the microwave" rule no matter, how much you want to nuke last night's cod.

If you prohibit burnt popcorn and fish in the microwave, you are a literal slaver. True fact.

But there definitely has to be some type of  punishment for burning popcorn in the microwave.  Seriously,  you can hear that the popping has stopped,  just open the door. You don't have to wait until the clock hits 0:00.

I live, although you knew that through other channels. The grand and glorious madhouse that once was VJ has faded away to people far less likely to draw back the curtain on the insanity of their relationships. More's the pity.

A few are still around: Charles is still here, as are TBone and Boiler. mox has reemerged under a pseudonym which fooled me, as it might you: @moxy. I suspect a few other old-timers around, just wearing different skins. Everyone else from our generation seems to have wisely split or gone to the Great Permanently Banz0red Station in the sky. I do miss AJ on here, the very best VJ troll ever, in my estimation.

While I have no idea where my old nemesis Gary has landed (FAIR TAX! heel condoms!), I did find Alla on Instagram recently. She appears to have stayed put in Vermont and is now a talented artist working in pastels.

I must say, SCOTUS got it wrong. Hurt fee-fees are most certainly an injury in fact that are fairly traceable to the continued existence of Obummercare.

The only solution is for all nine justices to commit ritual suicide at this point.

It seems rather like an argument that most people in this country lack object permanence, insofar that once a figure recedes even slightly from the national stage, he or she must be banished to the corn field.

Debatably constructive comment: colossally dumb idea, and whoever suggested it in the first place should be doomed to an eternity watching Ben Shapiro videos where young Ben is almost, but not quite, allowed to view AOC's feet.
