There's nothing else to do than to wait until you talk to a tier 2 officer. Nothing we can say or do will change that.
If you're lucky you haven't missed your interview date (which is actually quite likely), either way there are ways around this, wait until the t2 officer calls you back.
If I did miss my interview date is it possible for them to deny my case?..

Ok i'm freaking out over here.
On 1/27, the status changed to "Interview Was Scheduled" and after NOT receiving the interview letter for weeks, I found out that my status changed to "Notice was Returned to USCIS Because the Post Office Could Not Deliver it".
It's almost been 45 DAYS since my "interview was scheduled" and I am CERTAIN that I missed my interview. I dont know why USPS failed to deliver when every other notices were delivered fine?!!
First thing first I filed for e-request and then second I am in queue to talk to a Tier 2 officer. What else can I do now?.. The wait is over 5 hours just to talk a Tier 2 officer.

Also.. We received a "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" notice on Sept 13... but have yet to receive "Your interview has been scheduled" alert. Is it normal to take this long?

Just curious: How does the respective embassy know which email address to use to contact the beneficiary re: P3?
I submitted the email update request to NVC a few weeks ago, but not sure if that worked.
S. Korea embassy just contacted me (petitioner) instead of my fiancee for some reason.
They are so inconsistent with their procedure it's ridiculous.

Hi there everyone~
Been out of touch with this website for a while now. Came back to give everyone an update.
My fiancee just had her interview in Korea yesterday and she was approved without any problems!
How long does it take to see "Ready" status to "Issued"?

Alright Atya, Seoul finally received our packet! But we haven't been contacted yet. Did you have any luck with Canadian police certificate?
Hey! just to give you a heads up, my fiance was only contacted by email (Packet 3) no phone call was received.
She scheduled her interview prior to receiving the Packet 3 though.
Hopefully it helps!

Yep, the checklist is packet 3!
He got approved!! 🎉 ~ he said the guy giving the interview asked him about 15 questions or so. Mainly everything was from information that was on the I129f application. He took extra proof but they didn't even look at it.
Nice job!!!!! Congrats to both of you
the wait is finally over!

There should be a link to the embassy website on the cover page. The PDF file is packet 3 😊
Thanks! So I'm assuming the P3 Checklist is the whole packet 3? I thought there would be a copy of approved I129 and such.
Also how did your fiance's interview go!? Did they give him a hard time?

Thank you SO much! Almost only 2 weeks away 😊 ~ I won't be greedy but if he finds an earlier one that would be ok too haha
How did your fiance get the Packet 3??
The U.S. Embassy ended up emailing me the "Cover page" of packet 3 but there is no attachment file for the packet 3....
Am i missing something here !! 😢

Thank you so much 😊 ~ since you have your case number you can now fill out the ds-160 and schedule your medical as well. Your application should hopefully be sent out to the embassy either next week or around March 5th. You are very close as well! 😊
I noticed your interview date changed from April 1 to March 8!! were you guys able to find a cancellation slot?!

Nope. SSN stays with you for life.
So, my fiance does not need to visit the SSA office at all? Wow that's one thing crossed off on the to-do list.
-
@Greenbaum or anyone else could answer my question.
My fiance has her SS# already from a previous J1 visa. Upon entering the country, can she still continue to use the same number or does she need to revisit the SSA office and apply for a new one?

Just pull some stats off the Timeline search. K1, NOA2 date of 1-17 to 1-19. Looks like a lot of us in the same boat.

I must've got really lucky.... I got my NOA2 within 4.5 months and case # assigned within 3 weeks. Hopefully it's all smooth sailing from here

I'm happy to help! It was difficult to connect with other members who are processing in South Korea 😊 I sent him everything just through the regular post office. I think it cost about $30 to make sure I could track the package to him. ~ we also finally have our interview date! Only a few more weeks left to wait 😊
Thanks for helping me out!!!
I'm so jealous... I wish we can set up an interview date already so we can start planning when to move and the logistics of it
Wishing you all the luck with the interview!!!!

Do you know if Korea Embassy requires hard copies of the documents? I-134, supplemental tax/paystub/bank statements etc?
I couldn't find this information on their website or from their P3 checklist.

I went ahead and sent him the originals once we got our case number just in case. I'm not sure if they are required but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
Which mailing carrier did you use? And how much did it cost you to mail it to Korea?
Sorry for bombarding you with all these questions!
AOS Interview - Continued Case?
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas
Posted
Hi everyone,
So after a super dramatic week, I ended up having the AOS interview afterall.
During the interview, the IO told us that they did not receive the original I-129F form from their head office we will need to wait until that is received then a decision will be made. He also handed us a piece of paper that states:
"Your case is being held for review. At this time, USCIS does not require any further information or documents from you. Should further information or documents be required, you will receive a notice in the mail. We may also schedule you for another interview, you will receive a notice in the mail. Otherwise, a final decision will be mailed once your case is complete.”
Has anyone encountered this same problem where the field office did not receive the original I-129F prior to the interview? Why wouldn't they have it already by the time we were scheduled for an interview? is it possible that they lost it? What would happen if they lost it?
Thanks all!
