Went out on 2/19 with no delays. So today is all those cases that were assign a case number with the cut off being either Wednesday or Thursday last week. That has never been verified but it is what has been reported by those who missed the shipment deadline.
Ah ok. Thanks for the help @Greenbaum
Anxiety always kicks in on the days of shipments lol never ending story🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🙄

Feb 19 petitioners case files went out. No problems and not delayed.
Went out today? Or feb 19

I think it's pretty likely that we'll be going out today. Our case number was assigned nearly two weeks ago.
True. But keep in mind there is a huge shipment because of the petitioners missed for feb 19. Hope that doesnt delay ours

I'm already getting so nervous!
Same😂😂🤦🏽♂️ We almost have identical dates for NVC. Lets pray it sends today!

Does NVC typically send petitions to embassy in the morning? Or throughout the day 🧐

Yeah, I would think anyone with a case number up to 2/22 is going In Transit, and NVC case dates in the following week may be "iffy". Remember, you're on a good week..........no holiday on Monday like we had for the Feb 19 mailing.
I hope they will include all of us in the 03/05 mailing. I know alot of people weren't included in the 02/19 because of the holiday... so maybe a large majority of the mailing will be the ones left out. Hoping the mailing is big enough for all of us😂🤦🏽♂️

For the Feb 5 mailing, I saw people with NVC dates of Feb 1. But for Feb 19 mailing, the latest NVC date that made it was like Feb 12. So while Feb 5 seemed like they took everyone, the Feb 19 mailing was rough. But with NVC of 2/20, you're just about 2 weeks before the mailing. I'd say you will make the March 5 mailing.
I certainly hope so. Lol my case # was given to me 1 day after the 2/19 mailing. Figure two weeks is enough time 🧐

Yeah, the NVC wait is an absolute pain, but a 1/30 NOA2 is challenging to make the March 5 mailing. The mailing is the important part, and I'd wager you're a shoe-in for March 19. But we know the feeling.............you just want to know it's safely arrived at NVC. Here's hoping you see that this week.
Outstanding BB.............congrats.
What do u think is a safe date for the 03/05 mailing to embassy? Im 01/24 NOA2 and 2/20 case recieved and case#. Hope to make it lol

I'd believe that in a second! They are rushing through the overload. I bet the March 5th shipment is gonna be packed.
All I know... is we better be in the march 5 shipment. And pray they dont "overlook" our petitions. Seems like NVC is legit though. Lol🙄

Yes, we waited for the status in CEAC to be "Ready" just to be sure. I signed and submitted the DS-160, then we paid the visa fee and tried to schedule interview after 5 hours, but failed to set. I tried again after 9 hours after we paid visa fee and I was able to schedule for March 21. Few more slots remaining for March 21. I think its around 30 slots remaining if I remember it correctly.
Alright thanks for the info. I have been impatient to be honest lol trying to scheudule my interview before it even leaves NVC. That is probably why there are no interview slots for Dominican Republic😂😂🤦🏽♂️ But with your and @Greenbaum advice. I will wait.

We just finished most of the process in June and July in Santo Domingo, so hopefully this helps you. I know how frustrating it was, because there was not much up-to-date information about the process there.
1. We filed DS160 online after receiving NOA2, prior to having NVC number. You will be asked for the USCIS application number when you complete DS160. It does not ask for NVC number.
2. You will register for an account at http://www.ustraveldocs.com/do/ to schedule both your VAC appointment and the interview appointment at the same moment. You must pay the fee prior to scheduling. We were able to pay on this website with a credit card, so it was not necessary to go pay cash at Banco Popular. It is recommended to schedule them at least 3 weeks apart to leave time for medical results (we picked up results in sealed envelope about 8 days after the medical was conducted)
3. See #2
4. I don't think there's any such thing as "Packet 4" anymore, or at least, not in the D.R. We never received any such thing. The NVC told me they send the file to Santo Domingo embassy electronically. Sure enough, I received an email from the embassy the following day, telling me to proceed with scheduling appointment (which I had already done 3 or 4 days prior). You need to take this printed email from the embassy with you for the medical exam! I don't think that is in any of the instructions, and my fiance had a problem because he did not have it with him.
5. Nope!
6. It is not required for petitioner to attend interview, but I wanted to be there with my fiance. Although not required, I think it helps to add legitimacy to the case, and maybe less likely that they have suspicion. If you have very strong documentation of your relationship, it is probably less important. If you don't have much proof/documentation (photos, receipts, airline boarding passes from previous visits) then maybe it is better for your fiance to attend the interview. Also, it's a very stressful and intimidating day, and a very beautiful moment to share together when you are approved!
7. My fiance's police certificate that we used is a "Certificado de no antecedentes penales" which he was able to obtain online electronically.
Marc
When were you able to schedule the interview? I am trying to right now.... and it says "no interview dates are available". My petition is at the NVC right now... do i have to wait until its "in transit" or "ready" on ceac website? Im confused on this step lol

I just tried to schedule my interview again and I successfully set it to March 21 (8:10AM). Thank god. Next is to set medical exam at St. Lukes.
Did you wait until the CEAC said "ready" or "in transit" ? I'm trying to figure out when to try and scheudule it lol Once the petition leaves the NVC

They usually send it the day they ship your case. Shipments take place every 2 weeks or so.
Yeah i was reading that the shipments are every other Tuesday. So 3/05 will most likely be the date for alot of us😏🤗🤗

Anyone know how long it takes NVC to send letter for the steps needed before embassy interview?

Since you have your nvc number, just do the medical now. all you need for medical is your DS160 confirmation page and nvc number, at least in Ukraine. I think March 31st is safe though. worst case scenario, you reschedule.
they probably just don't let you schedule further than a certain amount of days out
Yeah idk.. im trying to scheudule the appointment and click on the open days. And every time i try it says the appointment date is not available. Even tho there are alot of openings

Booking that date would be too close for comfort I think. even if you make the March 5th shipment, it'll take a few days to get to the Embassy and then even longer after that until the Embassy is ready.
And its odd.... ceac is only showing available interview dates for febuary and march. Nothing past that for the entire year. Am i missing something? 😂😶

What about march 31? Ive been going back and forth whether to book it or not. I should be in the 3/05 shipment. Recieved my case# and invoice# today. Meaning if all goes well, the visa should be in DR between 3/05-3/08. Giving myself and fiance 3 weeks to do medical, finger prints, and other loose ends.

If the case number was assigned today then it takes 24 hours for the system to update to allow you to completer the payment process and scheduling.
Everything is outlined in this document. Please read before going any further so you do not make a mistake as it can be tricky. Also, you need the confirmation number from the DS-160 to complete the registration, fee payment and scheduling. Again refer to the instructions in this link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/13njvXEkaSwRbhZUM3QrOZzU5OV3UCaiZ/view?usp=sharing
paid the visa fee on ustraveldocs and made a profile. printed out confirmation page, and ds160 page. just waiting on ceac to let me choose the agent for the application.
Greenbaum in your experience.... its never good to scheudule an embassy interview while still at the NVC stage right? best option is to wait until status at NVC is "ready".
You are the expert and I always consult you on everything lol thanks for being patient with all of us!

My fiance couldn't log in to his ustraveldocs site (the one where you make the interview appt) so I called them to reset his profile and the lady said we can submit the DS160 and pay the fee now so we are gonna go ahead and do that. lol
Ah ok. Then i have to call lol because I am trying to pay the fee and choose an agent. And it wont let me
