  1. I am a permanent resident and I still get the pop-ups and email reminders about applying for ESTA. I think the website just automatically emails people based on just their citizenship.
  2. I think consular processing is what OP meant with filing I-130 and then affidavit of support when the time comes.
  3. Call uscis and say Infopass. Explain the situation and you should get an appointment
  4. From what I understand, combo cards aren't really issued anymore. Are you sure you're getting your information from recent posts?
  5. Because that would be immigration fraud. You cannot enter with a non immigrant visa with the intent to adjust status.
  6. She does not have a visa. She is a permanent resident. Two different things. If she says she has a visa at the airport, it's just going to lead to confusion.
  7. Just be aware that entering on a non- immigrant visa (such as F1) with the plan to adjust status is fraud.
  8. Can confirm as someone who is currently on their second I-751, their second ADIT stamp, and just recently successfully traveled abroad (although that is nowhere near mindthegap's record)
  9. Just be aware that they means you won't be able to file until 2025. I would suggest meeting sooner after the wedding if at all possible. That way you can get the ball rolling.
  10. I had the same issue on mobile. Thanks for the tip. I was worried I got banned for some reason
  11. -travel to the US -get married within 90 days -file I-485, I-131, I-765, and I-864 -ideally do all of this before April 1, as that's when fees increase and AP and EAD will no longer be free to file with AOS
  12. Original expired December 2020. I got the 24 month extension letter when I refiled my ROC so I had to get the stamp in December 2022. I got the 48 month letter sometime in 2023 but at that point my greencard had already gotten clipped at the stamp appointment which makes it unusable.
  13. Happy (?) 2 years for those of us still waiting. Felt appropriate Unrelated, I'm still stuck on "case received" and am about to get my second ADIT stamp
  14. 2 years, still waiting. Although my first petition was from November 2020, so arguably 3 1/4 years
  15. It's all about intent. If someone comes to the U.S. on a visit visa intending to adjust status then it is fraud, no matter how long they wait after arriving. If someone is visiting and while they are visiting their circumstances change, and they decide to adjust, then it is not fraud. Since your mother is not currently in the country, and you are already asking about adjusting, she would fall in the first category.
  16. I know that was a typo, but it does feel like it sometimes
  17. If you already have the 48 month extension letter, then no, they won't send another one. Call USCIS to get an ADIT stamp that lasts for a year. They might send it to you or they might have you come into their office for one.
  18. Also be sure that they didn't clip the corner of your physical greencard. That's what they did when I got my stamp. They let me keep the card but clipped the corner to make it invalid. In that case you'd need to get another stamp.
  19. I think that person is confusing I-131 reentry permit and I-131 AP. For the reentry permit, a lot of people only stay until biometrics are done. However, that is only for people who already have a greencard who are expecting to be out of the country for a year or longer, so it is not applicable to your situation.
  20. I think OP is talking about the physical plastic cards being received more than 90 days apart. That shouldn't matter though if they entered and became permanent residents on the same day, right?
  21. By my calculations you have until July 2024 for a visa to become available in order to stay in the F2A category.
  22. Where are your parent now? Also, are they aware that they won't be able to go back home for many months?
